Just thought I would put up a poll so we can vote on our new favorite song and discuss what we think of the new Blind Melon tracks!

Glen's drumming in that one were just "off the chain."

Love all three
For My Friends is great, but i'm loving Harmful Belly
"just to hear your scratchy voice"
Probably not about shannon, but we can take from these songs whatever we want right?

A very very hard choice! They're all fantastic but if I had to choose one it would be For My Friends. It reminds me of a 'we've being gone for 11 years and now, my friends, we are back!' it gives me the warm fuzzies and the lyrics remind me of sitting around with friends on the drinks, jamming away, singing until you lose your voice...good times, good feelings. I especially love the way Travis bursts into laughter at the end of the track - the boys are having a great time, and it seems like the 'silliness and dorking around' is still happening alot (like we used to hear about so much when the band were last together - Wasn't Rogers the big joker of the group - I'm wondering if it was something he said or done? Or was it simply the fact Travis ends on a different note? I dunno. Would love to know the story behind it) - it brought a smile to my face, and I even had a chuckle given the fact Travis was laughing so hard. All those reasons wrapped up in one

I immediately felt that Harmful Belly had some of Brad's writing style in it. Reminded me of the sound on his Abanon Jalopy. Do we know who "wrote" the songs yet? Did they write them together? I loved the lyrics to For My Friends. I think we all have a bunch of close friends we think of during that song That one brought me back a few years... Make a Difference is awesome too. I think this tune has the most similar sound to their past work. I guess I love them all, for different reasons! I will pick a fav soon though!

I've enjoyed listening to all of the guys' new projects since Blind Melon but they never really had that Melon flavor. From the first time I listened to these new songs, I knew they were back. These tunes have that same feel and sound as the old Melon tunes...and Travis sounds great!! I absolutely cannot wait for the album and a tour!! Great job guys!! You've made me and countless other Melonheads extremely happy!!! ;D

For My Friends literally brings a tear to my eye. To me this is the song that proves they should still be called Blind Melon.
