My favorite today is Harmful Belly.I do catch myself humming For My Friends more times than not. My Daughter is singing along with parts of the songs. She's like Dad now,she has songs in her head. I couldn't be prouder.Music has always been such a big part of our lives together. We danced with me holding her until she was 100 lbs. or so

She has grown up with The Beatles & Blind Melon in the background of her life. Now she has her own tastes & for the most part,I will listen to her music. On Road Trips(up north)we have to share the van stereo.Headphones are great, but after 100 miles,I want my Nico cd in the Van cd player. I don't know what my favorite new song is now.Make a Difference,I guess for Today.

if harmfull belly is a rain fur rent cover. how about the other two songs? if they are new melon songs who wrote the lyrics? for my friends is a mile better than the other 2. harmfull belly is probably a little more popular because it has a video. there all really good songs but 'for my friends' is beautiful, absolutely stunnin !x

I love them all. I keep trying to brainwash my niece (3) and nephew (1) into loving Blind Melon. My niece is a little more receptive. My nephew loves Dani California by the RHCP for some reason. He freaks out whenever he sees me because he wants my phone to play the song. My goal is to make them love Blind Melon as much as I do.

I think all three songs are great and they are all very different from one another. Lyrically I like Make A Difference and For My Friends the best. The lyrics to Harmful Belly remind me too much of my psycho ex. That's a good question about who wrote the lyrics to the other songs. Didn't someone say that Make A Difference was a song that Unified Theory had played? sorry, I don't have time to look it up right now cuz I'm about to leave.

If they did, I definitely never heard it. The title "Make a Difference" is on an old Melon demo cover... Check out the Letters from a Porcupine DVD art.

Now that the songs have had a chance to sink it a bit, I think I like "For My Friends" the best, too. It does remind me a lot of the old melon, and it just feels good to hear it. It's a wonderful tribute to whatever time period each of us may consider "back in the day." For me, that golden age was the 90's, but I bet it fits for anyone!

Umm,make a difference is my favorite today. That song is as simple as it is powerful.Like Shannon.I guess it just still gives me a bit of the same kind of Rush.Realising that I am hearing the remaining members of the original Band playing together again and sounding so great! So that is why Make a Difference is my fav. today.LuvUMelons
