I think Brad and CT should join him and do some of the stuff they worked with him on before he joined BM. Harmful Belli and Wishing Well were Travis songs before they were BM songs so that wouldn't be tacky at all. If Travis does Blind Man, that would be tacky, but I still want to hear it.
What would be really great is if Rogers and Glenn got their asses to LA and joined them for a jam. Maybe we could finally hear Shinn doing some Melon.
I still call for a "Melonpalooza" tour! It would be so successful. Imagine the bill, Blind Melon (w/Travis), Unified Theory, Everything is Energy, Abandon Jalopy, Travis Warren/WarnWulf, Extra Virgin and Rene Lopez. Someone should start a campaign to make it happen.

If it was going to happen with Frank it would've happened by now. At this point it has lost any organic quality it needs to have. Let it rest.

Really? I hope this is just some funk you are going through.
If that's truly how you feel I think you're missing the point of the music. By the way, the world appreciates Blind Melon more than you probably realize.

I will be there but am unsure if I can/will record the show, my mic isn't working and selfishly I just want to go there and enjoy the show. I hope there is a great turnout, to me this is bigger than BM reuniting with Travis. The fact that Travis will be on the same bill is just the gravy on top. Is it sadistic of me to want him to do "Blind Man"?
This is the bill they should take out on the road, bring Glenn and Rogers and we would finally have the Blind Unified Abandoned Energy tour. Bring Rene along and add some Tender Virgin to the tour.

I'll agree with you on the misrepresenting by calling it "his masters", that would matter if they were tapes but in the digital age the generation of the copy isn't that important (I think this is what the seller meant by that comment. Is he doing this to make money? Sure, but it isn't going to be much considering the time and hassle involved so that really doesn't bother me. It bothers me more that some people here have a mob mentality and feel the need to "attack" him, for lack of a better word. If it bothers you that much channel that negative energy into a positive solution, create an auction selling the same thing at your cost. When buyers bid you can e-mail them and let them know where they can download it for free, if they have no means to download then you can be a "good" melonhead and burn them a copy.

6 CD's for $33.33, sounds like a good deal to me. Do you realize how long it would take someone without high speed internet to download them, burn them to disc and make up the cover art for the cases? I just don't get what the problem is. Whoever bought them is going to love them and the seller isn't getting rich off it.
The best solution to this "problem" would be for them band to officially release more live recordings regardless of the sound quality. Something is better than nothing.

yeah linda perry could do it and wasnt someone called alicia marie mentioned before. also jena kraus has always been mentioned I'm sure it's been discussed before, but why not Jena? » Hmmm. That is the first time I saw/heard Jena singing BM other than mouthful, I must say she did a great job, much better than I expected. I still don't think a female fronting BM is a good idea, just my opinion. Unfortunately I think there is too much bad blood between Jena and a lot for the hardcore fans that were at that vigil and too much "history" with Shannon for her to be considered. Might be a little awkward.

Listening to the radio today I heard a song called "Let's all smoke some pot", catchy little ditty. I was grooving to it when I heard them Mention Blind Melon in the lyrics, never heard the song before.

I agree with Matt, he has a good voice, I like a lot of his own music that I have heard. I really don't think he fits the Melon thing though.

No offense, he sound like me trying to sing BM, believe me, nobody wants to hear that. Maybe the video didn't do him justice. From what I could tell from the video, him singing BM just doesn't sound natural, not in his normal range.

I think Frank is talented but I haven't seen anything that would make me think he is a good fit for BM. Since he has already sung with the band and they haven't contacted them I am guessing they didn't feel the chemistry they were looking for.
