So Kevin, first question... How does it feel to be Melon of the Month? It was kinda exciting to see votes goin' up for me. It was kinda like "what the hell" I'll have to get used to be bein' on this side of the fence now. There is a long story to this actually. I'm do'n it for my family; to keep them go'n , u know. It wouldn't be on my top 10 list of things to do, but with that said I do my best and am do'n ok with it. how I got into it well.... It's kinda like this.... I was at flight school, did all my criteria there. Fully licensed, looking for flight jobs while working for a micro hydro generating company. I thought my future was bright, got engaged to Naomi. The company I was working for laid me off because they didn't want to wait for the day I tell them I found my fliying job.... Truth of that story is, the guy I replaced (was a buddy of mine) was hounding them to hire him back 'cause the better job he left for didn't pan out.... So....... there I was just a couple months from being married, and no job. I mean It was soooooooo close to having to postpone the wedding it was Crazy! I felt really sick over it....... Then I get a call from Naomi's uncle (through marriage). He is a German, who learned the Stone Masonry trade over there. Anyway, his right hand man wrecked his back bad, and he was in dire straights. He called me to see if I'd work with him. I did. I got married. With every intention of still looking for a flying job. Wouldn't that fall 9-11 happen. That industry was shakey for sooo long. Pilots taking early retirement packages, or pay cuts....losing jobs. So there I was at the bottom of a ladder where others where coming down. My dream was fizzled. In the back of my mind, and my bosses; I was just there 'til I got my flight job. So it took a couple years to show him my worth. This job is starting to pay off. We don't have the climate to stay full out during the winter months, so the south is looking inviting. Plus working w/ family doesn't seem to work out, not her uncle someone else. sorry for the long answer.....sometimes u just stumble upon a path....my legs move no matter what one i'm on

Kevin what is your dream job? Either flying, or playing in a band (w/out the guilt of leaving family behind) both offer a couple things I'd love: travelling, hands on work, and both should keep your mind sharp. and to repeat the question you asked, what is the one place in the world you would like to see over anywhere else? If I knew more about what different places in the world would have to offer, I'd maybe change my mind. But I could REALLY just search out every inch of Austria. It just looks so incredibly beautiful there. doesn't that look thick of culture?

It just looks so incredibly beautiful there. doesn't that look thick of culture? I can totally picture you yodeling in a pair of lederhosen up in those Austrian mountains. You know, it was almost 70 degrees yesterday...lots of stone masonry can be done in Feb. in those warm temperatures! It only snowed once so far this winter and it didn't even stick. ;D You know you wanna move here...

Yes Austria is indeed beautiful... too cold for me, but I suppose that is never a problem for you Canucks What is the coolest place you've ever been to? Farthest you've ever gone from home? Worst/most embarassing drunken moment? ;D Favorite movie of all time

I can totally picture you yodeling in a pair of lederhosen up in those Austrian mountains. how did you know my True ambitions for wanting to be there? .lots of stone masonry can be done in Feb. in those warm temperatures! . ;D You know you wanna move here... I most definately Know w/out a doubt, and without ever stepping foot on NC soil, that I could both live and die happy there! The real question is, what price would I have to pay, keeping Naomi far from her family. I have no qualms about leaving mine. I'm aquarius, feeling confined can make you claustrophobic ps. I've been go'n round taking some video of some of my work for a Video Portfolio. I really want to meet that company when I come down

Hey Kevin,
Congrats on being the MOTM!
When we met, I saw the writing on your arm but never actually asked you whether that was a tattoo or not... What did it say? (Sorry if you already answered this in another thread).
Since it's now known that you can play a mean 6 string and sing... How about posting a video of doing a song of your choice? I'll send you an American Dollar.
Were you sad when 90210 came to an end? I mean, with everything Dylan, Kelly, and Brenda went through, throughout the years, it must have saddened you to some point?

Many Congratulations to you Kevin! Where dost thy name "tripticket" originate from? Thank you Ryan! I was wondering if this would come up. Ever have a time in school when you and your buddies Had to come up w/ a Band name? This is kinda weird... My best buddy Josh and I were in creative writing class together, w/ a teacher who loved to hear himself talk. Aside from his thick coffee/cigar breath, we thought he was the shite. Because he believed that drawing while listening to him lecture would help us be creative & he was right. Anyway, we were in creative writing class trying to come up w/ a name, & getting very frustrated . As a joke, one of us said "ok, just flip open that book with your eyes closed and point at a word"....first word 'Ticket' ha, we just smirked at eachother. "try it again" next one... 'Trip'....we just kinda went whoa .....we weren't really entertaining the idea of getting a name that way. Being in a writing class we had to think what it'd mean. It didn't seem to work, we flipped the words around. Kinda sounded right..... we brainstormed for awhile, and thought it was alright. To us it means the merging of individuals through the creative process & connecting through the result (music). which is what it was always about for us. I remember some friends back in the day thought it had substance innuendo #rastava6# lol. to each his own.

Yes Austria is indeed beautiful... too cold for me, but I suppose that is never a problem for you Canucks Canada is quite large, and the are certainly varying degrees of flip'n cold here. Other than BC, I probably live in the lesser degree. I think Austria is quite similar to here, maybe a touch warmer. I could spend a summer yodeling there for sure. Canada is plenty cool. Why do you think the band is waiting for summer to venture up here? Actually one of the coolest places I've been to, I discovered quite by accident. It was behind my parents home. It was spring time when the woods was still filled w/ snow. There's some mini mountains behind my parents house where I found this path at the valley of two mountains that were 4 car lengths apart. Next to the path was a mad rushing river from spring runoff. Most of the runoff was coming from the sheets of beautiful ice sheets blanketing the sides of these cliffs next to me. I wish I had a camera that day. That place is only that cool like a month of the year Another place is just an hour or so from where I live. We have the highest tides in the world here, so you can imagine what that has done over the years to the shores landscape. There is this place where you have to scale down the side of a cliff while holding a rope (there are some sorta natural rock stairs) Anyway, when the tide is out you can venture into these pretty cool caves I Heard you can stay in places in the cave while the tide is in, but who wants to be stuck for 5 hrs waiting for the water to leave Padre Island, and Corpus Christie . That's right! Your sweet home of Texas, darlin' ;D Favorites anything changes from time to time. But I'd have to say either Ray which i've seen probably a good 30 times, or Snatch which I've see just as many. Snatch is just too freakin smart for it's own good

Worst/most embarassing drunken moment? ;D I'm answering this separately because the answer is a mini novel. no, I'm afraid The largest will have to wait for a certain road trip I'll give you this one though... It was halloween. College days. Just one week after my first drink. Nice prologue, eh? so.... My hair was longer. I had some friends in theatre arts. The girls did me up in clippies and makeup. Ever see the Seinfeld "pirate" episode? That was the shirt, and not to mention i was in a flowing skirt. W/ boots maybe??? I dunno what I was, other than drunk on schnapps and screwdrivers. I think I was more embarrassing to my friends than myself. I was up on the stage, standing on the railing dancing the nite away. Allowing for all to see up my skirt I remember this chic pulling me down. Then leading me over to a table where she starting licking my neck, and GRABBING ME!! I remember laughing; paying tribute to Anthony Kiedis, i said "u touched me and my willie" shortly thereafter her friends saved her from me ;D Where my friends were, I dunno...I lost 'em. This campus bar was Waaaaaaaaay up a hill from their dorm. Wouldn't it be POURING buckets. Needless to say, I slipped, roling and tumbled all the way down. I was cut all UP. Managed to get up to my buddies room, where i was greeted w/ everyone's eyes bugging out. I musta looked like shite. I remember being all curled up on the couch, looking my bud in the face "i tore your shirt man" There are picture of that nite. I thought once I would like to see 'em. Now I hope they don't surface oh yeah...the long story will have to wait for a certain road trip, if you dare go on one
