Hey Kevin, Congrats on being the MOTM! When we met, I saw the writing on your arm but never actually asked you whether that was a tattoo or not... What did it say? (Sorry if you already answered this in another thread). Thanks man! 'preciate it . I just gotta say you man, that our time in Portland was way too damn short!!!!!! I laugh so much when I get asked what was on my arm. I mean i get asked alot. The story is this.....Scott and I were in the Big Easy talking to a few people. and this guy tells me he's a Huge melon fan, but only heard the album Soup. (which that makes me laugh too) So I told him I'd have to make sure he does better than that. I had no paper or pen. I only had a marker for the Bands "john handcock", so I wrote his email address on my arm. Now I'm reminded yet again that I'm a bloke for not sending anything yet So it turns out good there are pics of it, so I can fulfill my promise. Since it's now known that you can play a mean 6 string and sing... poppycock Chicken, or beef? I mean instrumental or singing too? I'm not much of a singer really. and isn't the American Dollar just below the Canadian at the present? aside from going through mountains of socks and kleenex, I'm not sure I remember much else. #whistle#

if you could change anything about your life past or present...would you and what would you change? That's a tough one. I believe things happen for a reason. The bad w/ the good, even if it leaves you scratch'n your head. One thing I've dwelled on is maybe waiting a year or two to get married. But then I wouldn't have these 3 great kids. They simply wouldn't exist if I went that way. It's just crazy to think back about things, and realize one decision could completely alter sooooo much. yellow i guess. though i wear very earthy colors w/ the occasional bright shirt.

I'm so proud to have the MOM from New Brunswick!! Now if only we could bring the Stanley Cup back to Canada where it belongs.... 1) What's your fav. Melon tune to strum on the guitar? 2) If you were a Blind Melon song, which one would you be / why?

With your new-found fame as MOM, are you too good to road trip with us? Do you expect any preferential treatment from us? How does it feel to get "the short month"?

how did you meet your wife? we met at a summer camp, where we worked our whole summer in '97. She worked w/ the trail horses. And I was on general maintenance, running boats/tractors. There was a strict No Dating Policy. So everything was done in groups. I made some really great friends that summer. A summer of a lifetime for sure. It wasn't until one weekend I had a ball game, I agreed to drive Naomi home afterwards, that I started to think of her differently. We never made it to her house after the game. We ended up in the hospital after I rolled my dad brand new sky blue explorer. Rolled it like 3 times down a steep embankment. The thing that saved us was a birch tree. The top of the truck was flattened to the tops of the seats. Needless to say, I felt Very responsible for what happened even though there was nothing reckless about it. When the summer ended she had to go back down to Texas w/ her family. We wrote all the time. Things just progressed from there. We still each have the hundred and some letters we wrote eachother. Some still smell. " figures never lie, but liars figure" you can tell my father is an accountant. I grew up hearing that all the time. But it's actually great to use to cut what the BSers are feeding ya. that one and "people don't care how much you know, till they know how much you care" you don't have to go around pleasing everyone, just like there is no need to preach. But if we can somehow manage to maintain some pleasantness, people may actually care about what we think.... thanks for your questions

Do you believe in God? And why or why not?? Hello! Absolutely. I mean, I just have a hard time swallowing the idea that this all just "happened" If you take diverseness of the whole world from what the Human body is composed of and how it functions, to the complexity of plantlife, animals, insects.....I could go on. Everything kinda has it's place, eh. I was brought up in a Christian family. I've come to my own ideals over the years. What I certainly don't have time for nor do I think there is a place for is judgement. It's not our place to condemn anyone. I believe faith is a powerful thing for sure, but where is there a place for "religious" figures to point fingers. About the accident I just mentioned. I'm Sure someone was looking out for Naomi and I. Looking at the truck, we should not have walked away. That and while it was all happening, all I could see was pure white and it was nite out. I thought that was it. Then it wasn't, the truck had stopped on the passenger side, and there I was looking UP out my door at the nite sky. Mississauga is about 16 hrs west of me. I live about 20 mins for the Atlantic

I'm so proud to have the MOM from New Brunswick!! hey thanks my Wingnite comrade ;D You were the first forum Melon I got to meet! If my Flames have something to do w/ it of course! Say, a buddy of mine who i grew up playing ball w/ posted pictures on his facebook of him next to the Boston Redsocks World Series Trophy in Halifax man. It was making it's rounds! (thought that'd make u wet yourself ) I LOVE Drive (not much strumming though) or Skinned is also a fun tune. U ask a tough question, Mang. Lemonade, perhaps I love Shannon's phrasings in that song. It helps me remember the struggle I had for a short point in my life. It's kinda important to keep those things in your mind to help to get to where your headed. "....well then, you'll have to look out for you...."that covers the lyrics.... musically it's jumpy....and the break is smooth yet off color a bit. also.. the Duke probably because I've lived near the Ocean for so long.

I'm so happy you finally made MOM. You've deserved it since day one, Huxtable!
Hmmm...
(corny, yet effective) Desribe yourself in three words.
How did you & Naomi end up living where you are now (city, not house)?
What do you hope to be doing 5 years from now?
MORE TO COME!

Whattup, my long-lost Amigo!? ... or was it me, that was lost? I've really missed you buddy!!! #hugs# Hope you are feeling ok Congrats on the Big winnings!!! Come to the CHARLOTTE SHOW!!! Tanks, puddinpops ;D Dry, Pumpkin Spice, & Zatarra Not sure what u meant in the parenthesis, girlie.... We live in the outskirts of the city (bout 20 mins) I grew up in a lil ol cow town, very rural. Naomi grew up even further in the sticks , that is until she moved to Dallas(where she was born, and lived only for 6 month btw..then '96-'01). It just feels right. We like the feeling of being secluded with the convenience of being close to a city, and the idea of the kids goin to a smaller school where they'd hopefully be subjected to less subjective subjects. It took us a good part of a year to find this ideal place for us. Until then We ,and then baby Isaac, were living in Naomi's grandmothers one bedroom basement apartment. It was crowded to say the least. And I think mold was the onset of some health issues for Isaac. We wanted out, and the idea of renting again seemed foolish if we could get a mortage. We were very fortunate to find this 5 acre place. hopefully in less debt. Handing down my Ruby to Naomi, for a(Smokin') Boulevard 90. Building a garage/recording room w/ a rental above. Playing at a couple low key gigs a month, even if it is fairly local....just to get out. uh-oh....sounds Risque perhaps i shouldn't have come up w/ the Ask the MOM Questions bit
