I couldn't figure out how to get tickets for this. Could I possibly go to see Melon 3 days in a ROW?!?! Oh my! I am in! Here's the problem though..it's a really long drive after the Metro show. According to Mapquest it's 11-12 hrs. Mere and Tara, if you are in car with me and willing to split the drive so we can get some sleep, I say let's do it! Also, I don't know what time they are supposed to go on. I think it starts at 11AM so they probably won't be until evening so we should have enough time..god willing! I also have to figure our finances because I think the VIP tix are like $60. Blind Melon is a very expensive habit!!! Whatcha think?

Hmmm yeah it is expensive. I'm not sure about it- we'll have to discuss further. I'd love it but it's something that would have to really be considered...because I still need to be able to get home obviously...

Reverbnation sent me an ad, and probably all other musicians on there an opportunity to open up for this fest..... I thought it was cool, when I opened up an email that said, "open up for Blind Melon" great press for the guys! Here's the info
"About This Opportunity
Event Description: Rest Fest 2011 is a one day music festival held at Crumland Farms in Fredrick, MD This year's lineup features Blind Melon, The Pat McGee Band, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, along with Amish Outlaws, Jah Works,The Freddie Long Band, The Knolly Moles, The Golden Butter Band, Telesma, and Lucy.
Performance Slot Details: We will choose one (1) ReverbNation winner to open for this show. The winner will receive 200 dollars to cover travel expenses and one (1) room at The Hilton in Frederick, MD. The artist or band will play in the afternoon before 10 other bands, most likely around 2 or 3pm.
Exposure: We are running ads in 10 Newspapers, and on 3 Radio Stations. Also, over 15 interviews with the variouse bands that are featured in this show, and will have 30 articles written on the event.
How do I increase my chances of being selected? Update your ReverbNation profile so it shows a more accurate representation of you and your music. Sync it with your Facebook, MySpace and Twitter pages. Add the #1 Artist Application on Facebook (Band Profile). All this will help boost your Fan Totals instantly and show a more compelling RPK. None of this is mandatory but showing a Promoter, Talent Buyer, Label, Licensing Company, Publicist, etc. more about you is always a plus.
