I love Flying Dog. Sounds like a great show despite the weather! Jealous, as usual

Rainy but a INCREDIBLE show. Great set. Sounded terrific. Got another drumstick but missed like 3 picks thrown by Chris and too muddy to go diving for them. Got pictures with Travis, Brad and Glen. Not many people but the ones there all seemed to have a great time. If you were there I'm sure ya heard my dumb arse screaming we love you to the band througout the night. Sorry for me big mouth but gotta show my love. The guy Meredith spoke of did a hell of a job. Also nice meeting another fellow melonhead (novarob) from NOVA. I'm still reeling from the show. Hope there are more to come!!

Every band out there needs to take a page out of the Melon Book. These guys rocked and their energy was the same as when I saw them in NYC earlier this year. (I love to see guys smiling while playing) Between the weather and technical difficulties most bands would played a crappy show or even a short show. When they did fix all the issues (Thought Travis's mic was too low) the firework show started. The guys just laughed it off and that was great see for the people that stayed. It wasn't until I played the set list back in my mind later that they played around 18-20 songs. Unfortunately no For My Friends songs but I knew that before they started. Begged Travis to play Down on the Pharmacy.
CT is a true professional!!! He broke a string early on in the set and roodie was enjoying the show instead of working the show (I would of done the same) CT had to grab the back up guitar himself out of the case to finish the song. Then saw him stringing up the guitar before the next song. All the guys in the band were kind of laughing it off and that energy flowed onto the crowd. CT almost on queue finished tuning up for the next song. Then in CT fashion rocked the shit out of us!!!!
VIP tent was great if you wanted to meet the other bands or stay dry. LOL!!!!! J/K guys I know you played the night before in Chicago. However, I was able to find Travis in the dark and had a great talk about everything. Not going to give details cause you need to find him and start your own conversation. ;-] He wished my wife happy B-day and dont think I could of bought her a better gift. Also met a bunch of great Melon Heads, Mike, Nova and Matt to name a few.
And anyone that was at the show and complained about the rain!!!!! YOU ARE NOT A MELON FAN!!!! Not sure if anyone else felt it but Shannon was laughing his ass off!!!!! Just listen to some of his lyrics and you might see that he was a fan of rain!!!! I pointed out to many that Shannon wrote and sang about rain but never lighting. If there was lighting show would of been cancelled. Only negative of the night is when Travis pointed out that this might be the last show for awhile. Not sure how long that is but it didn't sound like they were going to be writing together and that is a negative. FMF rocked and would love to see some new stuff soon.
Please check out Travis's projects, he is a talent that only comes around once in awhile!!!

Once we realized that rain was going to be c0ming down no matter what, we just made another added element to the show. That attitude is what made it a great show. Many highlights but "Cavities" is one of the best and of course realizing a dream and getting to sing on "Time". What a night and I still have not recovered...all well worth it though...

Needless to say, the show was great as mentioned above.. I will add more feedback later on, but its 3am and I am still recovering from a basement flood *sigh* I am so exhausted... I got a sec to pop on here and saw the comments, gave me a 5th wind and I started on uploading videos from the show. As of now I think 5 of 15 or so has been uploaded, but by the time anyone reads this Im sure they will all be available for your viewing pleasure :-) www.youtube.com/user/TheNovaRobIt was nice to get to meet up with NorthernVAfan, and k1illerbud, good people. Meredith! Where were you!? We missed each other again lol.... K1ller, were you the one who hooked it up with the hand tattoo??? ;-P If so, thanks a million bro! You're wife is really cool, we chatted while you were scoping out the "all access" area and I commented her on the sweatshirt, made me very jealous haha. Had to follow your lead on out there, great idea BTW. If this wasnt you, I now feel stupid but Im sure the right person will chime in if they're on here... I would have to say, the shocker(s) of the day for me were The Frederick Rock School and Lukas Nelson. Those kids surprised the shit out of me, and Lukas was just an amazing musician. Blew me away. Thats all for now, I am soooooooooooo tired. Need sleep....

From what I can recall I think the setlist was: 2x4 Toes Soup Paper Drive I wonder Wilt Sleepyhouse Change Soak (Ripped Away into) No Rain Galaxie Pusher Encore: Mouthful Of Cavities Time Though some lucky soul behind me got the setlist after Brad pulled it up off the stage. I also gave up a pick to a lucky lady that CT threw in my direction and it bounced off my hand into the muddy grass, I did not want to sacrifice the shot lol! Hope this helps out!

Well, we are starting to think you are pimpin' out a locksmith business... which is great.. everyone needs a locksmith.. respond to this response with a properly formed english sentence... If you do, I will literally hire you to unlock a door... And, that is no joke.. You just need to travel.
