I love my drunken buddies. They've been really good about letting me get a few Blind Melon songs in while we're hanging in the garage.it's either that or they can go home! Haha, that's right. Most of my friends have just got used to Blind Melon cause of me.

Grrr, I have decided to boycott the USPS. I had to return a piece to electronic equipment to Hong Kong for an exchange of a new one. The jackass at the post office told me all I would need is a flat rate international mailing box (small). I spent an hour filling out forms and waiting for him to enter it all in the computer. That was on March 13. It is now April 1st, and the guy still hasn't gotten my package. I entered my tracking # and it told me it was shipped, but no other info was avalible. I called and the lady on the phone said that because I used a small box, delivery confirmation was not avalible!! This means there is no way to prove it was ever recieved! So, if this guy really has it and is just saying he has not recieved it there is no way for me to prove it, so I can't even file a loss claim!! This puts me out $60 for the cost of the item and the $20 to send it back, plus the cost of repurchasing the item and shipping. Somewhere in the neighborhood of being out $170!!! The lady said there was nothing I could do and that the post office I sent it from should have explained that the small back doesn't carry delivery notification service. Great, that really helps me now. Who in their right mind would knowingly send a package internationally without delivery confirmation!?!?!?! Thanks for letting me vent.

I totally understand your frustration with them. I swear the people at USPS everywhere, can turn the simplest thing into a huge problem.

It was about 70 degrees today, here in Northern NH... I spent 4 hours outside... crankin' the "For My Friends" CD (on repeat)...
For some reason, that CD makes me think of spring...

This Wednesday, VH1 Classic is airing a new "1 Hit Wonders" show.. and, of course, Blind Melon was featured in the commercial.

MTV seems to forget that they played Galaxie on a pretty regular cycle in the summer of 95. So did the radio. At least in D.C. they did. And I also remember seeing Change quite a few times. I hate how people file Blind Melon as a one hit wonder. They are one of the greatest rock bands in the whole history of rock. VH1 used to be a great music channel too. Thats all they used to do.. play videos all day and night. Then they sold out to be like MTV.

ugh this is why I don't mind that we no longer have cable/comcast. I remember when they showed several videos- I so do not think of this band as a one-hit-wonder. so nice to have the gorgeous weather hit here in Southern Massachusetts- it's supposed to be 84 on Wednesday. then it'll probably snow the next day because it is new england, hehe.

We've been enjoying the 70 degree weather around here too.All my neighbors have been out gossiping as usual, which is a good thing. There's 5 of us who are around all the time for various reasons & we do alot of partying together,if that's what you can call it. It's just so wrong that Blind Melon gets tagged as a one hit wonder. We all know that there is much, much more to Blind Melon than No Rain. For us,all their music is important. So I guess we'll just continue to do our part as fans & share them with the World around us.
