Happy BeeLated Easter all..! I don't really celebrate but yeah lol.. I had a good day off me and Keila went to the Aquarium along with her brother and his girlfriend up in Coney Island. It was my idea i wanted to do something near the water. We had a great time.. Definitely going again, oh and yes the weather has been amazing here in Jersey as well!! i love it!!

Happy belated easter everyone! I had a pretty good one, hung out with Tracy's family and had a pretty good dinner. Also, we found out Tracy's having a boy today! Ambie's going to have a little brosif! Congratulations!!! |

Oh wow so a few weeks ago I posted somewhere that I taped my friend Jill and I jammin in my apartment.....well what I didnt say is that after she left that night I carefully tucked my Sony tcD5m deck into its protective plastic cover. I went to pick it up and it slipped out of my hands and hit the coffee table.....took it to the shop right away and they just now got the chance to look it over.....gonna cost $125.00 plus tax to have it repaired...uggghhh I feel like a clutz. And to think of all the crazy venues and shows Ive taken it to and never a scratch because Im very careful with it........theyre replacing the belts and they have to do some soldering to the circuit board.....mostly labor charges......I asked them to clean the heads too while they were at it.......Good news is I'll get it back tomorrow after worrying for 2 weeks over it...bad news is I can't go get me the air conditioner I wanted to get until hopefully next payday!!!!

It's been a rough week for my Wife.She had her appendix taken out on the 1st & she came home the next day.She started getting nauseous & was vomiting alot,so she had to go back in for iv fluids.She's still in the hospital because she keeps getting sick for half the time,then getting to feel better the rest of the time.Her ct scan is showing a possible post operative ulcer,which they will scan again possibly tomorrow.I'm getting worried but don't want to show it.I watched a few songs from woodstock 94 & the SNL performance of Paper Scratcher to take my mind off things,to get lost in those songs,lost in Shannons voice & the way he performs those songs.There's no better therapy that a Melon can have.I Love all kinds of music & the escapism it provides.Blind Melon can bring me to a mood I was searching for cuz I couldn't find it on my own.I will never forget those Live shows I got to see in 07 & 08.They really validated what I already knew.Blind Melon is special.

Thanx Rachel.My Wife is still in the hospital.She was less nauseous but still vomiting today Her ct scan is postoned until she can drink the contrast & hold it down.Hopefully tomorrow the scan will show if there is a definate post operative ulcer that is irritating her body & making her vomit all the time.She has no fever but antibiotics bring her white blood cell count down.She has a good attitude & is determined that they found out what's going on,No matter how long it takes.She's a tough cookie.I need some Blind Melon again tonight.

Oh my, I hope she's getting better asap! I"m sure Melon can help you get thru this time together.
It's raining AGAIN. Luckily it had stopped for several days but there's probably gonna be some more flooding. And lucky for us even though we have an old house, the basement doesn't get wet (I still knocked on wood anyway).
I have to get up at an ungodly hour for a dumb work meeting that probably has nothing what-so-ever with my department. I work retail(Best Buy), I have worked in retail off and on for the last 15 years. Now that my kids are older, I want to get the hell away from it. I hate people. Well not all of them but just the people who are ignorant and rude. I hate not having a consistant schedule either. And the thing that sucks about my job is that technically we're a store within a store and there's only a small handfull of people that know how to do what we do so it sucks when it gets busy and there's no one that can help me and then some people get pissy and it's all a circle that I can't wait to get out of. I have been in this store/department since our store was brand new 2 years ago and I have seen a revolving door of people come and go- I'm the consistancy with a small # of people who opened the store. So anyway that's my random ramble for the night while I let my dinner digest and get ready to go to bed when I'm not really tired but I will hurt if I go to bed too late. Hope all of you melons have a good weekend.

I am praying for her Jeff , keep this in mind those tough cookies usually do pull through things of this nature. 5 yrs ago my Mother came down with a virus infection of the brain ( Encephalitis ) and it was the worst case the Doctors had ever seen and told us to prepare to make arrangements bc she wasn't gonna make it . She beat all those odds and is alive and healthy today! Her speach isnt what it used to be but shes come a long way. The virus she got attacks the brain and lasts 28 days n goes away. It leaves and whatever cells were damamged is what it leaves behind. It affected her speach and short term memory, plus her balance a little bit too..... Stay positive my friend . she can feel your good vibes and thrive off of them. |

Thank You for all the support.It means alot.Sheila was discharged tonite at 8pm.She managed to eat & hold down a few meals & feels very good.They had to put a tube up her nose & down to her stomach since I last posted.The contrast fluid for her ct scan was administered through that tube.The ct came back fine.After a day & a half of not vomiting,they took the tube out & she was able to slowly get back to a soft diet before coming home.We still don't know specifically what started all this.The infectius disease specialist who got called in said he doesn't believe it was an infection at all because she had no fever.It's an irritation,possibly,in the one of the bowels possibly & her body reacts to it by vomiting until she's deathly ill.She will be following up with a couple specialists who are confident they will find out what the problem is.So after a week & a day in the hospital,she's home & moving around a little,looking & feeling good.She gets 90 per cent of her wages for the next 12 weeks.It costs 400 bucks as a co-pay,just to be admitted.We have the time to make all her appointments,she'll have time to heal from the surgery itself & time to found out how to treat this problem.Scary stuff Melons.The self titled & the For My Friends cds have meant alot to me each night after visiting hours as I'm winding down,escaping & thinking positive.
