We've been getting Lake effect snow coming the east,off of Lake Erie for a couple days.Nothing like you're seeing this year Rachel. I'm about 80 pages into Nikki Sixx's book,the heroin diaries.From what I've read so far,I can't imagine what the next piece of this book I read is gonna be like. I never read that book, but it might be a trigger for me. Reading about that shit makes me want to do it sooo bad. One of my favorite movies is Drugstore Cowboy. I think it was a brilliant and creative movie but it's just a trigger for me now. I cant even watch that anymore. |

I can relate to that.I had to put it down for a bit.Strange how that happens cuz it's not glamorous to say the least.Nikki was quite the sick puppy.

I haven't read that book but might just pick it up. My book of the week is South of the Pumphouse by Les Claypool. We went to see him at a book signing when the book premiered and my then 6 yr old son sat and had a chat with him about music and guitars and bass. What a cool down to earth guy who didn't let celebrity get in the way of a kiddo wanting to talk to him. I of course took pictures. He almost wasn't gonna go up but I told him you might never have the chance again, now I look at the picture hanging on the wall (as he'll turn 10 in the next couple of weeks) and think what a cool week. Today the sun is shining brightly down upon us. For so many days it rained so seeing the sun feels so good on our skin. I volunteered in my daughter's kindergarten class and then took her home b/c she didn't go to school yesterday and still wasn't feeling good. That's my random ramble for the day.

Thats cool, so many people aren't like that, it's sad. I hope your daughter is feeling better. I swear, sick kids are like death to me. I hate it, they look so sad.

Yeah it was very cool. Another cool part of it was that when I had gone up to the line to wait to get my book signed my husband had the kidlets (my daughter was only a toddler at the time) and when I was done, my son was like "Oh you went, I wanted to go to talk to him too" so we were going to wait in line again but the people in front were so cool and told us to cut them and go talk to Les. They only chatted for probably 5 minutes or so but after he told me it was "the best thing he ever did in his whole life"(mind you he was only in Kindergarten)- outta the mouth of babes.
My daughter seems to be doing a little better, she's got awful sniffles and a cough. Luckily no fever or puking which is quite a relief. And she had no color this morning, she's got a little.
I hate when the kids are sick, especially when they're little.

Got back from a visit with Tracy's dad last night. It wasn't bad, though I was still shaking in fear of the man lol I'm also now realizing how real this is... I'm happy though. Scared, but happy. Also, it seems as though I once again ruined Tracy's birthday plans.  Poor Trace, once again drinkless on her birthday because of me lol On another note, the crappy weather is back, it was SO nice last week and now it sucks.  |

I had my bloodwork drawn last week and went to my Doctor to have it reviewed.....Liver perfect....Kidneys...perfect....Cholesterol ...good cholesterol a lil high while bad cholesterol a lil low but all in all pretty much perfect.....blood pressure perfect.....lungs clear!!!!! Another words Im pretty F'n healthy!!!!!!!!!!!!! Which isnt a surprise.....  except for the clear lungs since I smoke alot of cigs....... |

Drs appt was good...took a nap and my friend came over and I had a pipe ceremony for the changing of the seasons ( equinox ) the we played music for a few hours......couoldnt ask for a more relaxing good time |

hooray for happy days and healthiness! today is the first day since Friday that I haven't felt like a mack truck hit me- everyone in my house has been sick as a dog, myself included. But today I woke up and actually had a voice and didn't need to take a nap, but might anyway just because naps are fantastic. Tomorrow is my 10 year wedding anniversary. To celebrate, my husband and I are going out with some friends while my mom watches the kidlets.

I haven't been sleeping well. I'm not sure if it's nerves or the weather. I think it's both. Thinking about having another baby is kidna weird, but it's hard to get settled when the weather changes every two seconds.
