My mom slipped/fell on our stairs this morning and ended up having to go to the ER...found out she broke her leg/ankle in many places and is needing to have surgery, they had a spot open in the OR so she's there right now. She's going to then need to stay until Monday. Send all your good healing vibes, juju, whatever you got.

Mom's in and out of surgery already. Myself & fam along with the kidlets went and visited her. So far she's comfortable- as well as she can be and she's still pretty well drugged for the moment, but not so much that she's incoherant or anything. So she's there until Monday and we literally live 2 minutes from the hospital so if she's in need of anything we can run down there. Ugh, what a day.

Thanks. Yeah she's been home since Tuesday- I'm home during the day and hubby is at night so instead of her having to go anywhere she was able to come home. She's got a walker, a shower chair & a commode thing to go over her toilet. And like the good daughter that I am I've already made fun of her as she's only in her early 50's. My poor mom, she'll heal but it'll all come in time.

Wishing everyone a happy summer solstice. It's also my wee little lady's 6th birthday. Yesterday we had a lovely day of celebrating at her favorite park in RI with a carousel ride & kite flying in the park. The there was a thunderstorm so we quickly headed home for cake & icecream & presents. Good times.

Here's the latest on Sheila,Her stomach is,jacked up as she calls it.She's been getting regular blood tests & the last one showed that her white blood cell count is up.14.4 to be exact.A urologist has already ruled out a urinary tract infection,I know gross,too much info.Anyway,she's got an appt. on July 16th to see a rhuematologist.They will be checking her joints,obviously.I've got my fingers crossed & am asking The Gods for strength for the both of us.Keep them healing vibes comin o.k. I don't want her getting sick like the last time.The phrase deathly ill fits what she went through last time.

Thanx everyone!Sheila ended up going to the family Dr. after her belly started getting poofy.They wanted blood so she requested that she be tested for celiacs disease.That came back negative & her white blood cell count was back to normal.Then the poofiness went away.Weird!The Dr. warned her about too much radiation from the ct scans & that it could cause cancer 20 yrs. from now.She's feeling better though & is joking that her case will end up on, Diagnosis Unknown.I'm thinking that a paper will probably be put into The New England Journal of Medicine when they find out what's been going on,at the least.

Hey guys, I know I haven't been on in a long time. I've been going through a hard times recently. Tracy was pregnant, but she was in a car accident a couple months ago and lost the baby.
We've been dealing the best we can. We both took some time off work after it happened, but we're both back on. I think it's good because it was actually harder without having to go to work in the mornings.
Thank god Amber doesn't really understand what happened, but she was still sad about it- I think it was mostly because she felt us feeling sad. She spent a lot of time at Tracy's dads place to give us some time.
Anyway, I just felt like coming on to tell you guys. I'm probably going to go to bed soon, I have to get up early for work. Good night guys.

Brad,I just wanted to let you know that I can relate to what you two are going through.Sheila & I lost a son,Brandon, after 8 1/2 months in the womb.I remember it all very clearly & how difficult it was.If You ever want to talk,You know You can P.M. me anytime.
