Is anyone else having tour withdrawls? I had such an amazing time Saturday night and I'm so sad that I have to wait again for the guys to come back around, I seriously think it was the best show I have ever been to. In fact I have tickets to Tori Amos on Friday and I don't even care. I miss Blind Melon!

I know. I was thinking that today too. I was so fortunate to have made the three shows. And 2 shows in 3 days was just a melon fest for me. And now I'm rotting back in NJ with no shows in my future and no one here to share my excitement with. It soooo hard to come down from that Melon high.

Wouldn't we love that? I didn't think I would develop such a teenage girl crush on him....I need a Travis Warren poster to hang on my bedroom wall. Seriously though...The guys were so cool and so nice and the music was intense....I am craving it all over again, hurry up next set of tour dates and get here!

I know!!! I went to class today and couldnt even tell you what my professors talked about. I was there but my mind was all the way in Pittsburgh #sigh# I was telling Barb today, Im seriously considering leaving everything behind and going on tour with them for a little while next year. My only concern is how to make money on the road... Barb said maybe we could just play melon tunes and sing on the streets during the day and I would love that, but Im not sure people would actually pay to see that... Im a terrible singer!!! I also thought we could make stuff to sell, but I dont see how Id be able to sell them at the melon shows since they're playing clubs and whatnot The last option Barb and I came up with (and the best one too ) was offering to be the boy's buskeeper, we'll cook, clean and do other things all for just food and a spot on their bus. Sounds like a good deal no? #haha# #bye#

I know a girl who follows Tori Amos....she takes photos of her and sells them at the shows to pay for gas and food and stuff. She has been doing it for years and is pretty successful. I have seen her at every show I have been to...and that is a lot!
I wish I could do something like that.... Ill have to be satisfied in catching every show I can make it to, I feel like my faith is restored in music again. I was honestly getting bored with what was out there lately and dying for something good and real. Now that Blind Melon is back I feel so energized and excited about music again. I really missed Blind Melon all these years and I am just realizing how much. I love the fact that I am old enough now to afford tickets and have the freedom to go to shows, back in the day I was too young and too broke to see them live. I can't stop thinking about the show and how amazing they played that night. I also think a lot about Jon Larson in these days and it breaks my heart to think of how much this all meant to him, I know he is up in heaven looking down on all of this, but I really wish he was here with us.
Boy did I ramble....

Maybe I can learn something about Photography when Barb is here, or maybe I'll talk her into doing it with me ;D I know what you mean about having the freedom to go and see the shows. It's just so hard when I live so far though. Plus Im limited to seeing one show at a time b/c I cant miss work and school and cant afford to fly to the east coast every wekeend either. I've always wanted to do something like this and be on the road for months on end and what better time to do it than when my favorite band in the world is touring? Not to mention Im young and have nothing tying me here so it's now or never!

It's funny you say that. I went to the Chicago show on Tuesday and I was supposed to go see Ween on Saturday, but I just ended up skipping it.

I have seen her at every show I have been to...and that is a lot! Wohoooo, I actually got this idea today but then I thought of all the equipement I'd need...good lens to take pic of concerts (that I don't have), a laptop (don't have it either) and a printer (that I have). Then I have no idea how to make it work with electricity and all that stuff...people from the venue should let me use a room or something? I should ask the girl you're talking about how she works it out. Then another problem I thought of was if they'd let me sell the pics? How does she sell them? She has a stand/spot, or she's walking around offering them to people? In Europe it's not legal to sell stuff wherever and whenever you feel like it. Is it different in USA? The last option Barb and I came up with (and the best one too ) was offering to be the boy's buskeeper, we'll cook, clean and do other things all for just food and a spot on their bus. Sounds like a good deal no? #haha# #bye# Hey, you forgot the shower part #haha#

Do you think she would mind if I contacted her? I have a bunch of questions for her. Ohhhh, and Gabby, it would be AWESOME if we'd do this together!!! I'll teach you all I can! and you can teach me how to sew fast (cause I'm sooo slow at sewing, lol). Also Gabby, you said that now it's the best time to do this because you have nothing tying you but can you leave school? Or with "now" you meant in the close future (next year)? I don't know if we can count on next year? Maybe they'll be recording the second album and won't tour... To me it's like now or never cause you never know...

I have seen her at every show I have been to...and that is a lot! Do you remember her name? I think I hooked her up with tickets to the last show Tori did here. We had two extra tickets and a guy was supposed to meet us to buy them. Well he never showed up so we traded our tickets to that girl for some of her concert pictures. The pics are AWESOME! Lots of candid meet n greet shots and some live shots too. I should dig them out and copy them for you. I don't know if more than one girl does that, but this girl was from Florida (I think) and was travelling up the East Coast following Tori.
