Kramer's" Racist Tirade -- Caught on Tape
Michael Richards exploded in anger as he performed at a famous L.A. comedy club last Friday, hurling racial epithets that left the crowd gasping, and TMZ has obtained exclusive video of the ugly incident.
Richards, who played the wacky Cosmo Kramer on the hit TV show "Seinfeld," appeared onstage at the Laugh Factory in West Hollywood. Kyle Doss, an African-American, told TMZ he and some friends were in the cheap seats and he was playfully heckling Richards when suddenly, the comedian lost it.
The camera started rolling just as Richards began his attack, screaming at one of the men, "Fifty years ago we'd have you upside down with a f***ing fork up your ass."
Richards continued, "You can talk, you can talk, you're brave now motherf**ker. Throw his ass out. He's a n****r! He's a n****r! He's a n****r! A n****r, look, there's a n****r!"
The crowd is visibly and audibly confused and upset. Richards responds by saying, "They're going to arrest me for calling a n****r a n****r."
One of the men who was the object of Richard's tirade was outraged, shouting back "That's un-f***ing called for, ain't necessary."
After the three-minute tirade, it appears the majority of the audience members got up and left in disgust.
Attempts to reach Richards' reps were unsuccessful.
Here`s a link to the video.

It amazes me that people can still have these opinions in 2006. What possesses someone to think like this and then verbalize it? The funny part is that he is claiming that he is not a racist. I wonder how he figures that.

If a person becomes angry enough they can say anything. He was super pissed, became filled with hate, and said some stupid shit. It was wrong, but I forgive him.
Those seinfeld reruns aren't going to be as funny anymore though...

I can`t beleive that`s the same man who played Kramer on Seinfeld.. I know what you mean, it's hard to reconcile the two. He was in self-destruct mode for sure because his career went up in smoke. I'll never listen to him again and that's a shame because I loved him as Kramer.

I hear you Ish... I loved him too as Kramer but also his own sitcom The Michael Richards Show and his characters in the movies Airhead and Trial And Error..
A comedian shouldn`t be heckled on stage, that is just wrong, but still Michael went waaay too far. He should have confronted the heckler personally..After all he is a stand up comedian,he would have probably won that way.
Now he labeled himself as a racist and people won`t forget what he said. I feel sorry for him but at the same time...He messed up for himself now.
I know i can`t enjoy Kramer as much anymore when i`m watching Seinfeld.

I wonder how he figures that. Well said. It won't affect how I feel about his character when I watch Seinfeld, cuz lets face it, we don't know any actors, or musicians on a personal level for that matter. But as a person, I have no respect for him, nor would I ever go to one of his shows. Ignorance like that in this day & age is pathetic.

Does he not have enough sense to not say what he may be thinking. All of us sensor ourselves sometimes. That was a career ending blunder.
