Actualy I just remembered, I think I saw something on Soulseek, DMB playing a BM song (well, it said DMB and not Dave&Tim), I don't remember wich one so it might be No Rain. I never succeeded to use Soulseek, there was always a problem, so I never heard those songs...

Yup...right behind Mike Portnoy and Neil Peart. In which bands do they play? I'd love to check them out. I looked for it on google so it's ok

Yes, I can't hear Rush's songs on myspace (doesn't work when click) but I managed to hear Dream Theater. I've heard a lot about them but I think I never heard the music. Now I'm also listening to Mike Portnoy on myspace and yes, he IS amazing too although the music is too heavy for my taste.

I posted a bulletin on Myspace about this but I thought I'd tell it here for everyone else. There are two guys on Myspace who upload DMB and Tim&Dave songs on their pages for everyone to download. They change them about once a week. DMB Live Downloads www.myspace.com/dmblivedownloadsDave&Tim downloads (this is where I got the Redemption Song from): www.myspace.com/davetimdownloads

Dave Matthews Band Postpones Australian Tour
Dave Matthews Band has postponed its entire Australian tour. The stadium rockers were scheduled to travel Down Under in April to headline a series of club dates and play the East Coast and West Coast Blues & Roots Festivals. While the group has not give a reason for the postponed dates, Mathews is expecting his third child this spring. The group will now travel to Australia to play shows at Melbourne’s Vodafone Arena (May 1), Adelaide’s Festival Theatre (May 2), Brisbane’s Convention Centre (May 4) and Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion (May 5). The group has also confirmed that its annual summer amphitheater tour will start a few months later than usual in August.
Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds have also confirmed a April 20 duo spot at Boston’s Citi Performing Art Center Wang Theatre as part of the "Traveling Through Life(SM)" concert series.

I got the ticket in my mail today and I booked the flight! #banana#
It took me about two hours to make the depression go away because of all the money I'll spend (the flight tickets were much more expensive cause I've waited too long and didn't book the flight right away #meh# ) but now I better just forget about it and think how awesome it will be!
I'll be staying in Antwerp for one week, girfriend of my friend lives there and my friend will be there too! Which is a coinsidence cause he lives in Slovenia and awesome cause we'll spend some time together! #smiliedancing#
And I'll also meet Paul! First melon I'll meet in real life! #rock#
Wohooooo!
It better be the best week ever! #smiliebounce#

Found a few Portney vids... Very cool.. off-timing...style changes through each:
Odd---> Not just a metal band:
Love how he places the rims of his toms around the 50 second mark:

CRAZY! I like the second one best! Here's a few cool ones of Carter Beauford: This one is pretty crazy: I like it how he does it as if it was all easy. He's chewing a gum during the first one, it reminded me of another vid where he was making baloons with his chewing gum while drumming like crazy I don't remember which vid it was.

Umphrey’s McGee, Xavier Rudd, The Roots Among DMB Summer Tour Openers; Matthews and Reynolds Show Added To Green Apple
Dave Matthews Band has confirmed its annual summer tour. The group will start things a bit late this summer, as Matthews is expecting his third child. After a one-off show at Bridgeview, IL’s Toyota Park on July 8, the quintet’s tour proper will open with a two-night run at Mansfield, MA’s Tweeter Center on August 1 and 2. The band will travel to most major markets across the country until wrapping up with a two-night run at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl on October 1 and 2. Of particular note is a three night stand over Labor Day weekend at the Gorge Amphitheatre in George, WA with Robert Randolph & The Family Band. Other opening acts include Umphrey's McGee, Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Xavier Rudd, The Roots, Stephen Marley, Toots & the Maytals and The Wailers.
Meanwhile, Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds April 22 performance at New York’s Radio City Music Hall has been added to the Green Apple Music & Arts Festival. In addition, Charlie Hunter and his trio, which features once and future Fat Mama keyboardist Erik Deutsch and drummer Simon Lott, will also play a Green Apple Show at the Housing Works Bookstore Café on April 20. All proceeds from the event will go to support the programs of Housing Works, Inc., a not-for-profit organization that provides housing, healthcare, advocacy, and other services to homeless people living with HIV and AIDS.
