Yes, the drummer is incredible! It doesn't surprise me that they say he's one of the best drummers in the world.
I prefer the early DMB too but I think they're still great, including the new album! I agree, they're really amazing musicians!

Charles, have you ever seen them live? I don't know when they were in Europe the last time... It's been only about two years that I love this band (before I knew only What Would You Say). I really want to see them live at least once!!!

I heard "Gravedigger" a few years ago and was just completely blown away but I never looked more into the band. A couple of weeks ago I saw them live on MTV I think and again I was literally amazed. I've decided to look into them more...what should I start with? I was thinking "Crash" maybe??....anyway yeah Dave is a great guitarist and has a greta voice and the drummer is phenomenal.

I started with Under The Table And Dreaming but it's really hard to say for me which album is their best. Crash is great too! I loved them right away and then loved all the albums and concerts I got, so if you say you were amazed too, I think you can start with any album - you'll become a fan So MTV is still showing great music? Last time I watched it, it pretty sucked. Now I don't have it anymore. But I think we don't see the same MTV in Europe.

I saw an accoustic show live with just Dave Mathews and his guitarist, Tim Reynolds (?) ...hope I didn't get his name wrong. It was a great show, but so long ago! probably 1996 or so.
I prefer their early music as well.

Yup...right behind Mike Portnoy and Neil Peart. In which bands do they play? I'd love to check them out.

I found it on Kazaa a while ago. I don't have it anymore. I think it was more so them making fun of the song. I'll look for it.
