Next year will be my first time at the vigil too-- I'm thinking positively here, since I've never managed to make it yet... I WILL be there. Anyway, the whole camping idea makes me think of how it was with Phish. Everybody just moved their tents and stuff from one area to the next all across the countryside, and I had never seen anything happier or more peaceful than those campgrounds. I can't even imagine how that would be with all melons! Wow. I'll be bringing my tent for sure. We all have to meet up, all of us, and camp together!!! Imagine us all around a fire together... guitars and singing... and paying our respects to Shannon. I'll probably only be able to do the actual weekend, what with work and all, but I'm going to make the most of it, for sure.

yep - playing guitar for a 200 melon sing along was my favorite memory from this year's vigil for sure. I remeber thinking at the time how i would have never imagined doing something like that. Hope you can make it next year.

Hope you can make it next year. Yes, I think that this thought is fascinating me the most...to sing melon songs along with a bunch of melons. WOW!!! It must be magic!

Yeah, I noticed that we now have a little countdown at the bottom of the page, ticking off the days 'til the vigil.... beautiful. Unless, of course, that's been there for ages and I just haven't noticed it. I'm like that. Anyway, I know I'm not the only one counting it down!! I've just about got my husband convinced to go too. As I've said before, he does like Blind Melon, he's just not obsessively in love with everything melon like me. I have almost a year to get him all pumped!

Hey, I think the previous countdown had minutes and seconds in it too? I liked that, it makes it even more obsessive, hehe But this one looks better I think (although I can hardly remember the other one, lol). Anyways, I love the countown too, it reminds me how I don't have so much time to find a way to get there next year, lol. Maybe I should start taking swimming classes and get used not to eat and drink much...

Yeah, I can't wait to meet everybody in person! That's going to ROCK. I just haven't figured out how I'm going to recognize everybody-- we need some kind of secret sign!

I heard Nel usualy prepared some kind of badges with names for everyone. I don't know if she still does that. But we could still do it ourselves

Something like that would be cool... I don't want to walk around for the first three hours saying, "Do I know you? Who are you? I'm Charity! Are you on the Forum?" and blah blah blah. I still love it that we're all excitedly making our plans for something that's almost a year away... it definitely lets me feel less guilty about my obsessiveness.
