I'd rather see something in CD format.... But, I'll take what I can get.

Yeah I agree with you Matt. ^^ what he said. Gives some insight of what we'll see on this "tour".

Nice Clip...Always Good to Hear That The Guys will be Getting togethoer to work on some new Material. Obviously, we all want a new "Album", But if Singles is all we can get then I will Take them. Regardless of the FMF album being overshadowed by The Manager, I Still Love That Album. It isnt the Same as the old Stuff, But It wouldnt be the Same even if Shannon were still here singing with them. Evolution is Part of Life. I will Take all the Blind Melon I Can Get, I dont care what it evolves to. Its still 5/6 of Blind Melons All Time members Getting togethor and doing what they Love to Do...Make Music. I am Grateful that Travis and the Guys are Looking Towards sharing New Material with us!

I'm actually sad that Travis is saying that they are going back to playing most of the older music. Don't get me wrong, the reason I am here is the first albums and Shannon along with the rest of the band, but FMF is just another album that has become an example of how diverse this band is and how impressive their song writing is. I'd love a concert where I could see them play every one of their songs...
I'll be there tomorrow in Slinger if the concert isn't stormed out and I'd like to hear as much of the older music as well as the new Travis stuff...
I think we all agree we'd like to see an album put out, and a digital album would be in everyone's interest, but I'd accept single if that's what they want to do...

No new songs played - wtf? No European dates? Rogers hasn't checked in since 2009.
What does this tell you?

. What does this tell you? It tells me exactly what Travis said in the interview. Right now the shows are a tribute to Shannon. I agree with Travis, CD's are irrelevant. I would be glad to have them working on and releasing singles, EPs, whatever, just keep the music flowing, kinda like what Travis has been doing on his own with his various projects. I have gotten so much great music from him in the last 5 years, probably 20 CD's worth. As long as I get to hear some great music and get to see them live I am a happy melon.

Great! Glad to hear we will be getting new material. I think if they put out an EP it could be really cool. Just throw 5 or so songs at us. I do wish they would keep some of the FMF songs on the set list. Atleast Wishing Well and Harmful Belly...

With Travis doing his solo stuff, Christopher on the road with AWOLNation and Rogers in law school, I'm sure finding time to write and record new Blind Melon stuff is difficult. When I saw Christopher a few weeks ago when he was here with AWOLNation, he sounded excited about recording a couple of new songs. At this point, I think that's the best we can expect. And I'm more than happy with that.

back in the day - they said that they wouldn't carry on unless they wrote new music. So why not play it live? Because some management problems? Come on...what a lame excuse. just playing the old stuff and honoring shannon HAS BEEN DONE.
Singles suck - i want albums.
They promised many times to do an European tour...but it never happened!
And let me rephrase - Rogers hasn't posted in here in more than 2 years + all band members busy with other things. BM = low priority.
i really don't see the point in carrying on if this is what they have to "offer".
disappointment written all over my face.

The interview wasn't very hopeful, but at least we have "something". I will take what I can get when it comes to Blind Melon. I also wish all the happiness in the world to the Band Members, I want them to do what they feel is right for them.

well, i think it sounds positive. well, maybe not about getting a new cd anytime soon, but they sound like theyre still doing it because they really love playing together. im guessing that blind melon is not the most profitable money making gig they have going on right now. i wouldnt think that the few shows they have scheduled could be that much of profit. theyre doing what we love them to do......just getting up there and doing it for the music and for us fans. while a new cd would be great, im more about them just getting out there and bringing that melon magic to the live shows. i do hope to see more live shows scheduled. i just see that maybe theyre being more chilled out about the whole thing and still making sure that its about the music and trying not get into so much of the business side. i know they all probably have other "business things" they have to worry about all the time. .......melon may be their escape.....we all need an escape......i love making random asinine assumptions about my favorite band!

YES! Bring on some new music! "Which is good news for Blind Melon fans pre-Travis, the band will perform the infamous "No Rain," which was recorded with previous lead singer, the late Shannon Hoon." LULZ! Most BM fans "Pre Travis" would agree that "No Rain" isn't even in their best 20 songs . More like "Which is good news, for those who can only remember that one song with a girl dressed up as a bee in the video." And they posted the video underneath too! Would have been a whole lot cooler if they had the "Tones of Home" clip (at least), or better yet (maybe 500,000 fed up faces?...sorry) a bitchin' live version of "Time" at the end of the article

I'd rather see something in CD format.... But, I'll take what I can get. Please, please PLEASE Blind Melon, don't give up on physical formats! I HATE downloads! Give me something tangible, that I can hold, and add to my collection, and LISTEN to! If you're going to skip the CD at least give us a limited run of 7" or 12" singles! I'm sure a lot of us would pay for the premium! I still haven't bought Unified Theory's "Cinematic" album, as it's STILL only available on iTunes! I looked for years for even a promo cd of it (as I did with the "Wishing Well" and "Tumbling Down" singles! Heck, I even got a Promo FMF album!) .. but never found Cinematic..
