Yeah, I would also love them to play stuff from FMF, espedially "Down on the Pharmacy" and "Hypnotized"-- these were awesome live.

I actually Prefer the "Tangible Albums as well (although we may be part of a dying Breed ,Ol). Yes, i agree that the music is Most important, But part of the beauty of Blind Melon from day one was that they held 100% Creative Control over their Album art, etc. I WANT ALBUM ART! lol. Ok, Give us some singles (even if only available by Download), But Have Glen Draw up some of that really cool stuff (Like He had Hanging on the walls around his desk @ the Sleepyhouse) for an Album cover, and include it in the download as well Please? I Have to Stick with the girls on this one. As long as the band is Happy, and enjoying themselves as musicians, who am i to say how many songs they should put out? or how many shows they book? or whether we get Tangible CD's? Its Not My place. Blind Melon Has always been Blind Melon, and always will be...But the Band Members have other things going on as well (which i also Support). Thats their choice to make. I am a FOREVER Fan Regardless. LONG LIVE BLIND MELON!

I think if they write one song it will lead to two and then snowball. Its like they are dating now after taking alittle break they wanna take it slow but deep down inside they are still crazy about each other! A little foreplay will take them to some serious musical intercourse!

this interview seems a bit off. since when is the FMF album "overshadowed by the manager". when travis split back in 08 didn't we get a pretty in-depth explanation of why from Rogers. I don't remember management being cited at all during that time. And how does a bad manager overshadow an album's worth of material recorded over a year. These guys wrote songs together, recorded and toured for more than a year. The new material has been played as much as many of the older songs including when shannon was alive. The songs with Travis are every bit as much of Blind Melon as any other song. The time with Travis is every bit as valid as the time with Shannon. We may favor the older songs out of nostalgia, and Mr. Hoon was a great deal more charismatic than Travis, but the band that exists in it's current form is what we have and it's damn well good enough for us to follow their progress over the last couple of years. Not everything on For My Friends was an instant classic but how can you leave out the title track? Or what about Last Laugh or Wishing Well? I have been a Melonhead for fifteen years and it would be hard for me to go to a show now knowing they are pretending the last few years never happened.

put my vote in for tangible cd's too. whether it be a full, or a 5 songs e.p. i still love havin that cd, and a bit of artwork, and yes, i read the linear notes and lyrics when available. as a melon fan since before the first album actually came out, i agree in part with the last statement by pk25 in the fact that it will be hard to see them (especially with Travis) and "pretend" like the FMF album just doesnt exist. Especially after seeing them many times and singing along with "for my friends", "wishing well", "hypnotized", and "last laugh". But i DO understand that if there are management issues concerning the FMF album... i'm sure that includes cutting someone in on a % for the performing of those songs.... Would you want to go play a show, make X amt of $ and then have to give 10% - 15% of it away because you played 1 or 2 songs from an album. (granted, i dont know that this is the issue... but it is just one possible scenario). I'm with most... I'll always take what i can get... and have them leave me happy, with my melon friends... and always wantig more.
