I will bee there! I've been waiting to make it to this festival for years and finally made arrangements for this one b/c Melon's playing and also b/c it falls on my 25th Bee-Day weekend! I got my ticket bout a month ago. Can't wait to meet all the Melons that can make it. I know that some people are concerned bout the price, but it's well worth it. There are plenty of other amazing musicians there, altho i'm a jam band fan so my opinion's a lil bias. By the way, as far as festivals go i highly reccomend camping as part of the experience. Peace and Much Melon Luv - Alison

I know I started this thread, and I had my tickets, reservations and everything, but now I can't make it because I found out that, unbeknownst to me, my family is throwing me a surprise (!?) party for my B-day on March 9th, the day I was going to the festival, but now I can't go. I was able to get a refund on the hotel, but doubt I'll get a refund on the ticket price for the 1 day I was going. If that turns out to be the case, I'll offer the ticket to whoever wants it here when I get it. Hope everyone has a great time- wish I could be there with you all.

Looks like the Swamp Stage is where it's at! Blind Melon, The Avett Brothers, Medeski Scofield Martin & Wood, Robert Randolph and the Family Band, STS9, Perpetual Groove, and I would definitely have to check out Will Hoge on Kev's behalf. I'd be setting up camp at the Swamp Stage for sure. ;D

If any of you see Will Hoge, I hope he plays his more upbeat stuff ( he shoud since it's a Festival, eh). He just put out an acoustic album, that sounds pretty rootsy Country~~BLAH~~~. I think he musta hurt his voice or something, hence the laid back album. Cause I've been following some of Will's Youtube vids and it seems like he's struggling to hit the "right" spots on the old songs.....I'm not sure. They've lost a kick ass bass player, and a good keyboardist. So 2/5 I haven't seen play yet. Lemme know how it goes if any of y'all catch 'em ;D "Man Who Killed Love" is the album to get. So much soul in that thing!! boogity ;D

I thought it was going to be a "not much sleep" weekend. 3/8/08 saturday night in Orlando, then I thought I was going to have to be at Big Cypress early the next day but I see Blind Melon is scheduled for later in the day for the Langerado festival. I will be able to get some sleep and rock out both nights. wooo-hoooo.
Anyone else going to both Florida shows?

For those upset Ani is playing up against Melon they shouldn't be. Ani is the COMPLETE opposite type of person from the men of Melon. I was with a group of bout 15 people waiting in FREEZING weather for a few hrs. a couple yrs ago and when she finally came out she wouldn't take any pix or sign anything blaming a wrist injury... which didn't upset me... but the fact she walked past everyone and couldn't even stop and make eye contact was ridiculous. by the way she's used the wrist excuse on another group of fans when my friend saw her a yr later. those of u who've seen Melon's club shows of 07 & 08 know that these men spend time greeting, taking pictures, and signing ANYTHING people would like signed. Yes she's a good musician but her personality doesn't fit the music.

First, I do like Ani's music, but she was exactly the same when I saw her 3 years ago! I was friends with a guy at the place she was playing in Cedar Rapids and after the show he asked her if she would meet my girlfriend and I since we were big fans. She said her wrist was bothering her so she declined. She said she was tired after the show and didn't come out to meet us. I was disappointed, but understood. Now I see that she did the same to others! I am so glad that the guys love their fans and are so gracious with their time.
