If I can get the money I will definitely be there. Knowing me though, I'll probably go even if I don't

I wish! Greg and I planned to go until we realized that our son's 5th birthday is that same weekend. We can't justify taking a 5 year old and his 8 year old brother to a 4-day music festival. He won't think that's a cool birthday present until he's a few years older.

I'm 99% sure we're not. We checked out the 1 day passes and they are $75 a piece for the 9th (the day BM plays). It would just be too big of a pain in the ass and too expensive to go all the way down to FL for just one day. It might be worth it if the other bands we want to see were playing on the same day, but most of those bands are scheduled to play on Saturday, not Sunday. If we are going to spend that kind of loot to see Blind Melon, I'd rather travel to a show where they are the headliner. At Langerado they'll probably get 45 minutes to an hour of stage time. A headlining show at a club gets you 1.5 - 2 hours of melony goodness. We'll save our $ for then. Who knows...if we get a nice tax refund maybe we'll come out for those Texas shows instead!

Eh, it depends, I'd probably only be able to stand being there for the day BM is there. I don't so well at festivals. But Texas is a def.

Looking forward to meeting up with fellow blindmelonforum heads!

I will have to wait as well, I'm closing on my house around that time and won't be able to afford to go. I do plan on making some shows this spring/summer.

Amarillo is less than a day's drive from Denver. I can also make it to a show in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. I probably would not drive to a Houston show. I'd be more likely to fly down to New Orleans if they ever play there and try to make a drive over to Houston. I would love to see them in Austin, but that's a far drive from Denver or New Orleans. So as far as Texas goes, Amarillo and Dallas are the two that I might hit up. Just don't forget Colorado. They said that they will probably be playing here as well when they make their way out West.

I'm ready to quit my job and just follow the band. My job sucks anyway.
