Whale and Wasp is, to me, one of the most beautiful songs ever recorded by man. Just thought I'd throw that in there. Played live, does it do justice to the studio version? I've always wondered that... Yeah, it's amazing how intense and full of emotion that song is even though there are no words to it. It always makes me want to cry

Did they play Nutshell? It felt just a tad bit weird to hear that song... I always felt that that was such a LAYNE song... What about Rain When I Die? I almost cried when they played that one (and they did both times), it has always been one of my favorites!!! I don't remember them playing "Nutshell" at the Fillmore on monday night, but you also asked about "Rain When I Die" and they did indeed play that one. I forgot to mention it. I like the wah pedal in that song. . .

I saw them play in the summer, they were kickass but they didn’t play for long enough It was not their fault though it was only coz they were just meant to be the support act. I would love to see them play their own full show sometime, I didn’t know if I would like them without Layne Staley but I was very pleasantly surprised !
