I still don't think I'm caught up on the forum but I'm ready to post again cuz I got somethin to tell you.I've always liked Blind Melon as much as Zeppelin or Lennon.Seems impossible, but it's true.Today while listening to Swallowed,I became even more convinced that they are every bit as good as Zeppelin or Lennon. It's a little more like a conviction now.

So my little brother called me excited as hell yesterday. He's a freshmen in highschool and for his english class they have to write in a journal for ten minutes at the start of every class. His teacher always plays music while the students write. AND YESTERDAY SHE PLAYED BLIND MELON! She played cavities and my little brother flipped out and had like a ten minute conversation with her in the middle of class about how his older brother (me ofcourse ) is like the biggest melonfan ever. They talked about Shannon and the vigil and how she has always wanted to go. Just thought I'd tell everyone that. I was pretty psyched. The music continues to live on. Everyone have a great day! Billy That's sooooooooooo sweet!!!!! I wish I had English teachers that were into melon... I once was going through a huge obsession with the 60's (ok, fine.. I never really got over it ) so I wrote a paper on it and this lady just went nuts... She was in her 60s which means she was probably in her 20s during the 60s.. She sat with me and told me so many crazy stories and all that it was neat... 5 days later she got transfered, and legend says it was because she was always stoned.. hehehe

I just thought of a killer rad idea. If Blind Melon was ever a super hot commodity, there could be a raffle basket for them, with Soup, and then cans of soup and stuff. Corny, I know, but can't you imagine a whicker basket with Soup still wrapped, cans of Cambells, crackers, a soup bowl. For the most part, I got the idea from Lemonade's av.

For my major in school I have to take a public speaking class and next wed I have to give a 6 to 8 minute informative speech to the class. The teacher always stresses how it needs to be on something that you're really interested in. So after thinking about several different topics, the only one that I really am interested in and know a little bit about is Blind Melon. I figure I could talk about like how the band got together, when they peaked, and what was their downfall. If anyone has any ideas what else to talk about, or how I should go about the whole thing I would really appreciate it. If you feel like typing a paragraph or two for me that would be great, like maybe just ideas on how I should open the speech or someting. I really don't like public speaking and six minutes is a pretty long time. But Blind Melon is pretty broad and had five members so I'd need to narrow it down to specifics. So, again, if anyone has any ideas or feels like offering a little help, thanks alot. Have a great day!

I think you should do a speach about why Blind Melon is the most underrated band ever!

Oh yeah and my dad has told me that my Brothers leg is not as mangled as he has made it out to be.My Dad works for the hospital that changed his gauze dressings a couple times. When my Dad found out that it's just a bad case of road rash,no pins,no braces etc my Brother begged him not to let the cat out of the bag.And I frackin' drove just outside of Chicago to pick his lame a-- up,and missed the vigil. Now that he's back in Vegas,I just choose not to get too upset over it.Family will always come first for me.No matter what hardship it costs me & even when me helping them doesn't work out well.At least I stuck to my values.O.K.now I really am going to watch the Metro shows.

Well Melons.I've had 4 head injuries in 8 yrs.3 car wrecks.A cracked skull and a hairline fractured skull with blood behind the eardrum, tubes in my ears, all types of gross d stufff I know.I've had to take medicines for anxiety which turned into paranoia then into delusions.I have 5 days off work to get used to the nuerontin, seroquel & restril.I've had to do alot of talking with my non-union union as we call it and it looks like they've decided that the safety issue of me having responsibility over 9 presses running some days and me being on all types off strong medicine is too risky and illegal. Here's the good news,Im getting a small raise and I'll just be the oiler for my line. All I do is check oil levels and top em off, it's a cake job.5 different oil types for 12 presses, can't screw that up though. We're also looking to get disability which would be nice.I'm going nite-nite now.

I just watched Letters from a Porcupine and Live at the Metro DVDs on the big screen we have in school (for whatever we want to watch on it) and it feels soooo good to be completly envaded by the image and the sound of Blind Melon!!! I just wanted to share this with someone who understands the joy of it (and I know you all do) (I don't know what's the subject here at the moment, but this is the black board, right?!) Lots of Melon love to everyone
