I don't know what to say.New Orleans,The people of New Orleans. They are dying in their wheelchairs,in their lawn chairs, right outside the convention center, after sitting there for days with no water. They have to steal. The state and the feds are supposed to help these people right? Can't they airdrop some damn food & water? It's terrible & I'm finding it hard to chill.I need to give to the Red Cross, again, twice this year.I'm sure Shannon/The Band are crushed also.

Even though everyone knew that New Orleans would eventually suffer a disaster, its still very surreal. I've been down there many times to visit my parents, and I am familiar with many of the areas that I am seeing on TV. I know this is as real as it gets, but I have moments where it seems like this just can't be happening. I guess I'm still in shock. Please pray for my family and all of the people along the gulf coast. . .

I MISS YOU GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! everytime i log onto the patch, internet explorer quits unexpectedly! i cant tell you how many times i've stared at the home screen and wished i could just go further!
i am just settling down in my new apartment. i didnt have internet for a week and a half. none at all! but its back now, except road runner internet, although it costs an arm and a leg, is not pleasing me at all. not to mention i got into a huge fight with the call center, since they screwed up our order. onlyputting us down for 1 computer, when i reiterated dozens of times that we would need TWO hookups. yesterday was not a good day!! and i bet its road runners fault that i cant access message boards like these, too. and they're a monopoly. no other service around here. any advice, short of killing them?
anyways, whats this i hear about a song dedicated to? i'm so behind on the board, it's going to take me years to read all the threads, and right now i'm hogging up time at the library.
i cried when i heard new orleans is 80% under water. thats all i can say without launching into a huge repetitivie paragraph about the people, history, culture and piece of our blind melon that is suffering. not to mention is was bound to happen since is below sealevel. let's just all pray, ok? or if you dont believe in praying, keep your fingers crossed.
i'm off to surf the rest of the board.

Anywho, so Waterfront started last night with Alice Cooper and Cheap Trick (Trick are from Rockford). Both their sets kicked asssssssssssssssssssssss (with 23 s's). Then they got together and played "Helter Skelter" and "My Generation." It was super awesome. Tonight I'm goin' to see Sci-Fi Warriors and The Edge. I also think that the all girl Cheap Trick cover band, Cheap Trick, is playing. I'll update daily, for the sake of my posterity.

blind melon day, you guys! i was listening to itunes radio station called "energy x" and they played abandon jalopy's slow down good times!!!! then i was reading this book called "teen angst, a celebration of really bad teen poetry" and one of the women who submitted her teen poem wrote in the introduction to it "melon=blind melon. my favorite band. they spoke to me in ways i thought no one could, and i was so in love with the acoustic guitarist." the line in her poem is "these are the words i learned from the melon/if you stop dreaming its time to die" the whole book is quite entertaining, with older people who sent their corny love poems, suicidal i hate the world teen poetry (you all know what i mean?) but this one with blind melon isnt half bad. i wish she would have written a bit more instead of just copying the lyrics. melon love

I went to the doctor to see what he could give me,He said son,son you've gone too far,Cuz Smokin' & Trippin' is all that you do,THE AIR, I really did have to see my family physician a few days ago,I told him some things & now I've ended up having to take 800 mg. of nuerontin. I feel much better & not so moody. That stuff really works, after you get over the drowsiness. All is Well. Peace Melons!

I am so bummed I missed the Vigil.I had to go get My Brother from Vegas. He mangled his leg up pretty bad out there when he had to lay his Motorcycle down on it while he was doing about 30 mph to avoid... can you believe it...a church bus full of senior citizens that stopped in the middle of an intersection. He'll get paid...big time, but he's devastated, as is my whole family. He'll be able to walk but with alot of problems, and a brace probably. He's gonna stay with my Dad for awhile, then me,then my favorite cousin,etc.,etc.I'm going to Dayton by myself this weekend.I've got some stuff for Shannon & you know I need to at least be there, even if I did miss his Birthday.Still luv all my melons.
