It's in the same section as the poll you created: Travis vs. Shinn. Just go to the second page and look for the topic: travis solo lyrics. There is about 15 songs on there.

I'm really starting to dig this stuff. I didn't give it much of a listen at first because it was not what I was hoping for from Travis. But once I sat down to give it chance I realized that it is pretty typical Travis. Lyrics are great and it has his "traditional background noises" [sorry, I don't know what instruments they might be or what he uses to get these effects]. Out of the 3 songs posted I probably like "A Promise for You" the best. I do hope that the album contains some stripped down acoustic based stuff though.
Matt, Why do you think Travis could not tour as a solo artist? I'm not sure that he can either, but I don't really think he needs to have a whole band behind him. I think he could do something like the "Live @ The Derby" show where he just had a few people adding some depth to the sound. All it would take is couple talented musicians willing play their role. But since Travis isn't a household name [yet] I doubt he would be able to find people to take a backseat role.

New RFR video on youtube. The song is "Some Time Never Again". [S.T.A.N.] As usual, the video is a little shaky but the sound quality is good. Travis sounds great. Should be another one up soon also. Either "Cobble" or "Zipcodes".

I wish he wouldn't find a band soon. I think his best work is just him and his guitar.

Unfortunately no. I know you are fairly new to the forum so I will share with you what I know. Since none of Travis's musical projects [solo, Rain Fur rent, 00metro, Killwatt, Lost books of the Last Century] never had a physical release, there are no known lyrics. I have been working on this for quite a while, and someone close to Travis just happened to come across some old hand written lyrics and sent them to me. You can find lyrics to about a dozen of his solo songs on another page. Through a lot of effort by various forum members [mostly Sonya] we were able to put our heads together and figure out most of the lyrics on our own. I'm not sure if you have any of his solo stuff and while I absolutely love Rain Fur Rent, most of us here prefer his solo work the most. I am not sure if there are any active links to download his music here, but Matt would be the best person to ask if you are interested. You can find the lyrics that we all came up with in the Sub-board: Travis T. Warren and on the second page you will find the subject...Travis solo lyrics. Click on that and you will find lyrics to various songs on all six pages. Some of my favorites are Cage, Samantha's Play, 26 Miles to Ludlow, Finish the Rounds, Attack of the Calm Bomb, Nervous Nelly, Hand me Down, CSU, S.L.I.A.M.P., Here's to Ya, and Scandalnavia. Hope this helps.

Here are the lyrics to 7 RFR songs as written by Travis. Thanks to Thomas for sending these to me.
Zipcodes
I am a empty room I live in falSe aLarmS try not to see to much sO I doNt give me aWay We're in a curious housE but nothing to feel I will try my best to keep this together
Is there a moment of ease or even a slip in the crack maybe even a chance to hopefully get it back it took you all this tiMe to show me you're here it took you all this time to show you care...
shUt uP 4 once and let me know I'm not gonna fight with you no more Help out for once and let me know im not gonna mess with it with no more
Where did you come from? I wanna know you better than I know ya How did you get there deep inside of this you're pulliNg stRinGs around where is your conscience diD you live it @ home
Compared to What
Don't say a word, i know what you're thinken No need to speak at all, I feel what ya feelin Your eyes are full of fear, your body language is timid like You give it all you have but we sense your unsteadiness So it goes
Something like this a lesson learned is to think for yourself compared to what
I watch your gestures and motions I focus without a stare You know I listen to comments But let nobody in I hear the front come out I watch you piece things from what you hear You give it all you have but we sense your unsteadiness so it goes
something like this, a lesson learned is to think for yourself and times like these with more to come Future hurts you're the chosen one
Flemme
I was just told we're all just made up, it's just a walk in the park, they said Well how would you know without even walking in the shoes I've been in
no guilt without shame stick without the stones mind without games and hope for new life too
Hell ain't so bad when you already in here You feel like no one's home anymore You damned if you do and you're due when ya gone There ain't nothing you can do Street without signs and no love without pain
Stuck right in here, smile without laughing easier said than done.
War without gunZ Truth without lies Mind without games Hope for new life too,
Stuck right here smiling without laughing Easier said than done All and All it's wishful thinking Something to achieve anyway
Harmful Belli
Soe my knees in 4 ya, strap dynamite to my side Shed a karkus 4 ya, empty out my soul I begging you just give me a chance, stick with me and we'll see the rest I'll carve your name here in my chest, I'll kill 4 you and nothing less I'll burn alive no second thoughts just to hear your scratchy voice Your scratchy voice Paralyzed
Rain is falling from your face, I'll drink the rest that still remains on you it feels so good it starts to hurt It hurts so bad it starts to burn me
Why would you ever change, it's a mystery Hell would finally come apart we will hurt and see Your the reason I came, I got all worked up
I'll frame your eyes here on my wall I'll film your love for when you are gone I am sad when you are sad I am down when you are down Paralyzed
Theynu
The door to escape, step on through The light in your eye, is what I want The squeak in the chair that haunts me
Trade you my thoughts if you give me your soul Trip over things, never learned how to crawl I wish I could wish on not wishing at all but it moves me to know you still care
Your curtains, pull over these sensitive eyes Your judgements don't bother me, that's 4 shure
This potion weather is concrete and your fountain doesn't take me here anymore
ROOM
Through the eyes and over around the wall It's been too long, relief that now you're gone It was nice goodbye's, you've been in some fairytale, this is not 4 your kind Shallow and cold, well this I ought to know, this I should of known
Mismatched, torn back, uneasy right from the start We played it too long, enough to fall apart You fell into an image trap but then you found that water runs deeper here Well notches I carve won't ever go away and there burried right here, right here 2x
Of course there was another side even I can see but your stubborness will haunt you again and I would rather not be apart of your shit
The curse you fed, the lines you gave A smile you'll never know The heart you broke, the book we closed A life we'll never know
Cobble
I hear you comin, I feel your voice The time is coming to hear to hear the noise The fire's burning, I clear the smoke I start to shutter I tend to fold
From this shot And I'll shut it off today From this point she said And I'll shut it off today
The crowd is moving, against my flow I start to clutter, so decomposed They start with laughter then end with screams I've lost all feelings, I tend to fold
Fear is what holds this piece together 2x

The initial post said this was for fun and as soon as I read that I knew it had the chance to become ugly. So before I post my opinion, I think I am going to bite my tongue, rethink my thoughts and then post my opinion on who I like...and why...without ripping the other guy.

Damn. I was hoping to hear something that I don't already have, but then again I think I have just about everything. Video, video, video...someone please post some video. I keep hearing that there is tons of RFR video out there, but no one seems to want to post any though. As far as what was posted, that version of Cobble is amazing. 14 1/2 minutes long...truly old school.

Actually, I think Travis fits better with RFR then BM and I have been a melonhead since 1992. Just one mans opinion.

Technically, I guess you would to say that Blind Melon is the one that did a cover of Harmful Belli since Rain Fur Rent has been performing the song since 2004. Actually there are a few different versions of that song by RFR and all of them have a different sound which is what I love about the band so much. They have a lot of music out there, but the one you downloaded is the one everybody seems to like the most. Honestly, I can't get enough of them. There sound is very unique and original. To hear more check them out on myspace. For some reason it won't let me copy the link, but there are two pages dedicated to them. There you will find other versions of Code A16, Compared to What and Harmful Belli. I also love Potion for the Sour, Be My Healer and Room. Enjoy

I did not see it, but I heard that someone performed "No Rain" on American Idol last night. Did anyone here catch it?

Sources tell me this not Travis's new band. It was a project he was doing a while back before deciding it was not the direction he wanted to go.

I'm confused. There is a total of 9 songs with only 4 having vocals. The first two aren't bad. The third I don't like and the fourth is an old Travis song by a different name which I can't remember because is my least favorite song that he ever put out. The last five are all instrumental. He is listed as vocals only and from what I can hear that sounds right but I can't believe that Travis would not some musical input. Was this a project that didn't work out? What Travis just a voice for hire? hmmm???
