Went to see Blind Melon in Los Angeles last night at the El Rey theater came all the way from Canada and I don't remember the show. Both my friend and had drugs put in our drink and ended up in the hospital. Just a warning for anyone going to the show tonight just outside of LA be very careful with your drinks. If anyone remembers my friend and I getting taken away in ambulances and can shed some light on what might of happened I would love to know and thanks to whoever helped us out. N

I don't know what to say. It's hard to believe that's happening at a Blind Melon show, but I am glad that you are letting everyone know. I hope you are feeling better. I am sorry something so horrible had to happen to you after traveling such a long way to attend a Blind Melon show.

That's not cool at all. Why would somebody randomly do that to someone? What were you guys drinking that night?
I hope you guys feel better. To be honest, I'm a bit upset... Thing is, it happens all over the place, Blind Melon show or not... There are some fucked up people out there...

I'm so sorry to hear that's happened. I hope you're OK, and I can't begin to imagine how angry you must be, especially considering you came all the way from Toronto. As Matt has said, there are many fucked up people out there, and it's sad that there were some at a Blind Melon show.

This is awful, I'm so sorry to hear about this. It happened to me once in Tijuana Mexico, what an awful experience. I got something dropped into my beer and 10 mins later I was blacking out. I was lucky to be with some good friends who made sure nothing happened. I am so glad you guys are safe, that is the most important thing.

First of all hope your o.k.!!, second of all just a little advice to all. I've been to alot of insane, crazy shows in my life and have learned a few things. Never consume anything you didn't either bring personally or buy directly from the vendor unopened. I always make sure I see my drinks opened and handed directly to me. Although people you meet at shows( Blind Melon or otherwise) seem cool you can't be to cautious. Just turn on the evening news at night to remind yourself how fucked up people can be. Unfortunately there are alot of chameleons out there!

Thanks everyone for caring so much.... we are still recovering today but getting better. Just wish some memory would come back to us! Not sure if we will be around any other Blind Melon shows but if we can ever make it out to one I will definitely take you up on that offer Rogers! Please though if anyone remembers seeing us or have any info on what happened I would like to piece together a timeline. Oh and just to let everyone know we did not accept any drinks from anyone and never left our drinks, they were in cups though and while watching the opening act our eyes were not always on them Thanks again. My heart goes out to you and your friend. I'm truly sorry that you had to go through such a horrible experience. I am grateful that you are okay and that you were immediately taken to the hospital and didn't have to wake up on the floor of some sleezy hotel.
Rogers, that is such a gracious offer. It never ceases to amaze me how much you all truly care about your fans.

Shit, I'm glad you guys are ok. I know it can happen anywhere but you just never expect it a BM show. Melonheads just usually aren't like that.
Feel better and definitely try to take Rogers up on that offer. BM shows are amazing and you deserve a positive BM experience.

Fawk that! I'm very pissed off for you ... that really sucks. Blind Melon should be headed to Toronto before too much longer shouldn't they? I hope so, you really deserve a show. #sorry#
