I voted for Harmful, because of it's general appeal.
I'd LOVE for the Masses to get into Make A Difference, and Down on the Pharmacy!!!!!! man that tune rocks! #rock# The solo at the end makes me cross-eyed!!

I'm excited about Down On The Pharmacy. I believe that is the only one I haven't heard yet. Gonna try to hold out until the album.

I chose Make A Difference also, because it packs such a big punch. They'll introduce it as Blind Melon then "WHAM" - people won't know what hit them, but what they would know is that Blind Melon is back.

I hate to ask it, but do you guys think the boys are gonna get much attention from mainstream radio?

Honestly, I doubt it...especially because they aren't planning on signing with a major label. They might get some play on satellite radio or college radio. Mainstream radio nowadays is a fucking bad joke as I'm sure most people here already realize. I honestly think it will be hard for Blind Melon to get much airplay, but not entirely impossible.
If one of their songs "breaks through" then radio won't have much choice but to play the hell out of it, but realistically that doesn't happen for most bands today....mainstream radio is just the same run of the mill crap that the major record companies try to shove down people's throats.

In any event I don't see the first single doing much, but my choice would be for 'Wishing Well'.
Is this album going to be promoted in the "traditional" fashion or are they going to do something more progressive and fan-friendly with it? Because albums today just don't go platinum or even gold... a No Rain type buzz in today's maret wouldn't even push your album past the 300,000 mark. I would fully support BM exploring other options with their new material.

I voted for sometimes, though I doubt it would actually work as a first single I just really love the keyboards in it.

As for BM having mainstream success, I hope that we will atleast get to hear a single on the radio. Harmful Belly is an outstanding song along with the rest of the album. I am terribly disappointed with the direction that the mainstream music industry is taking us. Everytime I hear No Rain or Change on the radio I can't help but get big smile on my face. The rest of the songs on the radio are pure shit. I can't believe how bad it has gotten in the past few years. I definitely miss the 90's. I am finished with my rant.

I don't even listen to mainstream radio anymore, its crapola. If Blind Melon got a lot of airplay that would be great, but its also great that only the die hard fans are into them right now. Its like a special club for people that really like really good music and arent going to shows because its trendy.

I rarely listen to radio at all except kjhk the local college radio which plays a lot of stuff I've never heard you can listen to it online too kjhk.org/ the only time I ever listen to mainstream radio is for like 5-10 minutes as I'm driving across town and nothings on kjhk.

I love WW and I'm glad that it's the first single. I just thought that Harmful Belly or For My Friends would be the first. I'm very excited for the release and to see how the songs have changed.
