Hey everyone. I was just wondering what all the melon fans believe should be the first single off the new album?
Peace, Love, & Melons
P.S. Personally I am really digging Harmful Belly and For My Friends

Is this poll working for everyone so they can vote? I see that it is being viewed but only has one vote on there. This is the first time I have created a poll so I am not sure if I did it right?

Down on the Pharmacy is the only song that I haven't heard yet. I'm gonna try not to listen to it until the album comes out. That way there are a few surprises.

I think For my Friends will be the first single. I would love it to be Harmful Belly but I think For My Friends would be more friendly to the masses.

I had to go with Harmful Belly because I'm afraid For My Friends has the potential to be another No Rain. I know For My Friends will be their big hit, but I think their first introduction to the masses should be with something more along the lines of Harmful Belly, Wishing Well, or Sometimes. I don't think the masses are ready for songs like Make a Difference, Hypnotized, or With the Right Set of Eyes (although those songs are among my favorites) because the masses are accustomed to hearing absolute shit on the radio right now. The majority of people wouldn't be able to recognize good music when they hear it.

I completely agree with you on that Sonya.

Gotta go with Harmful Belly. Sonya, you bring up a valid point. I think it depends on what people are used to hearing and unfortunately there isn't much good music out there. And I also agree about the potential of For My Friends... I can see the yearbook quotes now.

I agree with with Sonya said and what Karen is saying about the yearbook quotes. I can just picture it now!

I agree with with Sonya said and what Karen is saying about the yearbook quotes. I can just picture it now! I have lyrics from "Change" as my yearbook quote!

There's nothing wrong with making a song yearbook quotes. I just think For My Friends will be one of those songs that every high school kid could identify with.

I had to go with "Make a Difference"! That song just kicks ass! I think the lyrics are solid. The guitar/drum solo on that one is just downright awesome!
