I don't mean to come off harsh, but jeez guys, is anyone from the band going to even acknowledge the absence of Brad? The band ignores questions on social media, Brad has made one vague comment about it.
We're not asking to hear the gnarly details (if there ARE gnarly details) but come on, at least give us an idea of whether he'll be at the upcoming shows or not, if he's taking a break or whatever. I want to see the band this year but this whole Brad thing is honestly bumming me out.

I agree. Its kind of odd. Blind Melon has always been pretty open with us. Maybe something is trying to be worked out. Who knows...

Saw the show last night in PA. Without Brad it's not remotely the same. Ended up walking out in severe sadness and disappointment. Saw them in 1995 and in 2008 and both were amazing. The chemistry wasn't the same without Brad. Plus Travis botched words in pretty much every song.

Keep on keepin' on, Melon Heads and I am fairly certain that once all of this litigation with the No Rain lawsuit works itself out you will all find that Brad is indeed still a member of Blind Melon.
I think the key to latch onto here is that Brad holds the rights to license No Rain or not so it would make sense if he were tied up in fighting it in court. Hence the "I wish I were playing with Blind Melon right now" cryptic comments from Brad. He likely can't talk about the lawsuit outside of court and they cannot officially make a statement on Brad's status without discussing the lawsuit. There you have it. Logic....

It is unfortunate but my good friend Nathan is on Bass and is extremely talented. I definitely miss Brad and hope the best for him. Maybe someday they will have a reunion.
