I would love a new album, I would love an instrumental album, I think sometimes they should have continued the search for another singer after Travis. Shannon is the legend, Travis put petrol back in the car but like nightwish the music is the core and sometimes a different vocalist keeps it going. I remember buying albums by almost everyone mentioned as a replacement for Travis (Alicia Marie, a friend of BM being my favorite) For My Friends (the song) was the first song I played my daughter when she was born over 4 years ago, this band means so much. Its frustrating that after Shannon died we got a new album with Travis but now we don't get new music, it's nice the band is alive as a nostalgia touring act but as Rogers said in liner notes to the best of 'it's frustrating that we haven't made our best music yet' or something along those lines. I love this forum and used to come on here a lot but it seems quieter these days, i'm on twitter if you wanna follow me and of course I will follow back ( ) Am I the only one that would love to have a new album from the guys even if Travis wasn't there? sorry for rambling/being annoying

While I don't feel that anyone should be singing for Melon except Travis, I too would love some new music or new old music. By that I mean make available the second album's worth of demos that were tracked during the 'For My Friends' sessions. It's a bit of a drag knowing these exist and we can't enjoy them. Or the guys could re-cut some of the classic songs acoustically a la Blues Traveler or Black Crowes.
Or as I have stated multiple times in multiple posts, it might make sense to release some of the live soundboards that were recorded over the years so the fans can hear different versions of the songs we already know and love.

At the end of the day, I get & accept there may not be anymore new albums coming out from the band. The lame part is why haven't soundboards been released? How about the Shannon documentary that's taking FOREVER to be completed... I'm sure there are old recording sessions, demos, live versions, etc., that can be made public. I do realize that there are many shows & bootlegs out there for people to gather up, which I've collected. But a large release of stuff we've never heard would be great.
When Nel released on Christmas a few years back of the solo Shannon stuff, that was amazing. There must be more of that kinda stuff out there...
