Hiro was Melon'd! last night in NYC!!!! Awsom show!!! Have seen them three times before with Travis and this was the best overall show I have seen. Travis and the boys were having a great time up there on the tiny stage. Everyone in the band was feeling the melon energy. I wanted to hear Down on the Pharmacy but no new songs were played. Set list was great and I understand these shows are tributes to Shannon but why no songs from new CD? Read a blurb somewhere that some band members were not happy with the record label making some changes to songs and only older material will be played. Can someone explain this to me? Also read that Rogers was talking about a full CD possible, but in Travis interview he said they might make singles together. Wanted to wait for the guys after the show to ask them but wife had to work early so had to go ;{ Thanks guys for.....Making ME sixteen and free again!!! May Your Bud Be Kind....

Your welcome, guys. Wow, I hadn't heard that about the stuff with the new songs not being played. I would have killed, too to hear "Down on the Pharmacy" and "Hypnotized", and was wondering what the deal was. Maybe the band will address it for all of us at some point, especially if there turns out to be more dates in the fall.

Hi there fellow Melonheads! Anyone know why they didn't play anything off the new album at the NYC gig? To those of you lucky enough to go, how was it? Were the band members all in good spirits or just going through the motions? I only ask b/c I haven't heard anything thus far as to what brought them back together with Travis last year and no recording from any of the post '08 shows have surfaced online. Makes one wonder if this for real or just business. Were there any tapers in the BIg Apple?
I'm psyched that they are gigging w/ Travis again, even if it's not full time. He really was a godsend and is the right man for the job. Having seen them 3 times/ Shannon and 5 w/ Travis, I really don't think it could ever work another way. Just my $.02.
Melon fans are few and far between here in Wormtown MA (well I don't know any,) so if anyone in the northeast wants to talk Melon or other good music, send me a message and I'll hit you back. Peace.

Yeah, they were definitely into it last night, my husband even remarked on their obvious "lovin' what they do" karma, which you can see in the pics he took last night (see above link and download) There's one of Brad that's so good, he's gonna make it into an art poster (he has the software) that will be available soon by link for you to download, free, of course. This is, after all, about our collective love of the band, which we'll never get enough of! --

I can't answer most of your questions because I don't know the answers to any of them. However, there are at least 2 new recordings available. And I will fully recognize that I am not a 'real' taper. I guerrilla-stealth recorded these on an old-school MiniDisc recorder, and you can hear me singing along half the time. . . so, they are what they are (bad audience recordings). But if you are interested let me know. I have the Albq show uploaded at archive: 02-04-2011 - Albuquerque, NM www.archive.org/details/BlindMelon2011-02-04._Albuquerque_NewMexico&reCache=1I can try to get the Denver show uploaded some time this next week. . .

The show was great! Stood right next to the stage, danced and sang along all night! Travis noticed his fly was undone halfway through the show but was having some much fun nobody cared! We were "the human kazoos" for skinned since they didn't have one, very interactive show! Hope they decide to tour, they looked happy and hope this is a new beginning.

This was seriously one of the best shows I have ever seen. I'm in the process of uploading all my pics & videos- there's a LOT (surprise). We were inches away from the guys on stage- I got hit in the head a little by CT's guitar & was dodging him off & on through the show. Such an amazing amount of energy & the guys seemed so happy up on stage, you could tell they were having a great time. They bowed at the end & shook everyone in the front row's hand. Oh & Glen handed me a drum stick. ;D

Hi, I´m Paolo from Chile and 30 - 31 july Blind Melon play for very first time in my country. I read all the comments and I can´t wait to see them, it will be crazy, I don´t know if Blind Melon has a lot o fans in Chile but I don´t care ............. few but faithfull.
Bussines are bussines and from what i read here they play with heart and it´s a privilege they come visit us ................... I hope they don´t suspend the show how it´s happens recently with others bands because the fucking producers (now the ticket costs 50USD and it´s a lot of money here)
See you soon.
PD: Great photos¡¡¡¡
