Hello. I was recently told of a Shannon documentary that was supposed to be at Sundance this year. I am unable to find any further information. I have tried everything. Does anyone have any updated information on this project? I had heard that this documentary was shot mostly by him. I also see there is a second documentary about his childhood in production. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Vernie 420, To The Best of My Knowledge The Documentary You speak of is Supposed to Be a Blind Melon Documentary ( 1991-Present). I believe it is being Produced by Three in a Tree Production company, Which is a Danny Clinch Company. From what Has been said There is supposed to be a whole bunch of footage That Shannon Took with His Personal Video Camera. I Have No Idea when the Release is to take Place (it seems Like I read somewhere that it was gonna debut in Austin sometime in March-But dont quote me on that). As Far as a Second doc...I havent been Familiarized with this info. Maybe someone else could get Both of us up to date on that.

I believe the 2 docs are actually 1 in the same... More news will be posted about the doc when they launch the official Facebook page for it. We'll make sure everyone receives an eMail when the page is launched.

Facebook? Why should we have to wait for a Facebook page to be up to find out more information on this? How did we live before without Facebook? I mean no offense, but there has to be information out there about this and there has to be someone who knows. Let's keep scouring the internet until we find some good stuff about this movie. "We don't need no stinking Facebook!"

Are there any updates on the Documentary?
I just finished reading the 'Angel on one shoulder.....' book, and it is mentioned in there. Which got me thinking about the Melon Documentary again!

Colleen mentioned, during vigil weekend, that she was putting some more time into the Doc. I'll see if I can find out more...

Any word on the doc? I've been waiting like 5 years for the Shannon footage. This is lame... I too am in anticipation of the Melon doc. Or shall I say docs in the works since there are more then one. And yes, long waits can be frustrating. Perhaps a little understanding is needed though. Some of these projects are put together by fans. Fans that have families and jobs. The two Melon books I was a part of [one by myself and one with someone else] took way longer to put together then they would have had I only had those to do. The first one took me about 2 or so years and the second about 8 to 9 months or so. Point is, as lame as it is to have to wait for stuff, it does take time. Plus, I didn't see any broken promises. It's good to have things to look forward too. Peace out Brad
