Today is a very sad day in history. Shannon will never be forgotten, because he is with us in all our hearts. I will not mourn today, but I most definitely will look at today as a reality check.
Shannon you are greatly loved and greatly missed. #smilieIloveblindmelon#

Today I will listen to Shannon's music in rotation and smile. And also wonder how 15 years can quickly come and go.

I can't believe it's been 15 years. I still vividly remember the moment on 10/21/95 when my best friend called me crying to tell me the horrible news. She immediately came over and we spent the rest of the day listening to his music, just as I'm doing right now. Still missing Shannon's beautiful and creative soul...

I didn't hear the news until the 22nd.... Still a day I will never forget.
Don Mclean American Pie song quoting "the day the music died" for Buddy Holly has been revised for Shannon in my world for 15 yrs.
Thanks for all the great music Shannon..... You will live on forever with me

today IS the day the music died.... A very bright light went out today 15 years ago..and the world's been a little darker ever since.
Rest in peace Shannon, your music will live forever.. but you will still be forever missed.
"And in the streets: the children screamed, The lovers cried, and the poets dreamed. But not a word was spoken; The church bells all were broken. And the three men I admire most: The father, son, and the holy ghost, They caught the last train for the coast The day the music died.."

I just wanted to add that it both saddens me that 15 years have passed and touches my soul that I have been able to enjoy the music that Shannon left with us. Peace.
