Hello fellow melonheads..... My name is Andrew and I'm from Indiana. I was introduced to Blind Melon by my sister back in 94'. It truly has been a family bonding topic between us. I thought she was a huge fan but when she showed me them I just fell in love. Shannon Hoon really brought out the artistic side in me. I started writing, soon the writing turned into playing guitar, and now I'm in a band. This band really did change my life and struck a chord with me in a way no other band speaks to me. I just wanted to stop by and share my thoughts with everyone and say I'm grateful to have stumbled upon this site. I will be attending the vigil for the 1st time this year and would like to hear about what to expect and just talk to some other thankful fans. And does anybody have any stories to share about his first band in Indiana. Was it called "Mank Rage?" I met an interesting fellow named Darren B, and he said he played in it. I would like to know is he's blowing smoke or telling the truth. And please share your stories with me and any concerts you have that I might of not heard I would really appreciate pointing me in that right direction for a good listen. Thanks Shannon & Blind Melon, and all of their fans because I feel like were a rarity keeping his spirit alive. THANKS EVERYONE, ANDREW

#mattswelcome3smiley# Yes, Shannon played in a band called Mank Rage. There are some recordings out there... Just nothing that has surfaced yet. I'm still waiting to hear back from someone who said they had a copy. Again, welcome to the Forum!
