Hello Hello my little melly melons.
I'm Nikole. I am 19 years young. I remember the first time I became aware of Blind Melon. Although I was only 4 years old at the time, barely a ripe little melonhead, I remember being in the living room of my old house and the No Rain video was on the television. It just stuck in my brain. The vividness of it all. Even being so young, my mom still told me that "the lead singer of this band had passed away from doing drugs." It's crazy the memories we either consciously or subconsciously choose to remember from our early years on this planet. I'm glad to say that one of mine is this memory of first coming across Blind Melon but not even knowing the impact they would have on me 15 years later and I was only 4 years old. The passion and love I have for this band and their music is not even describable by Earthly known words. So to me, its only appropriate I join this site.
Cheers to all. xoxo.

Welcome, Im Mal! I am also new. My uncle was in a band in '93 they were called The Stick People. He and his band opened for Blind Melon at Tewligans (which no longer goes by that name due to a new owner) in Louisville Kentucky. My mom was pregnant with me at the time. My uncle wanted her there along with my granparents. I thought it was so cool because I was there at a Blind Melon concert before they got really big. To bad I cant remember anything. :/ I grew up with BM and have loved them basically all my life. Its nice to meet you! Here is a link to the poster of them www.facebook.com/malorey.dorman#!/photo.php?pid=401657&id=1789513234 Just in case you would like to see -Mal

Hello Hello my little melly melons. I'm Nikole. I am 19 years young. Hi and welcome! You're from Detroit, and I'm from Canada just across the river from Detroit (just outside Windsor, ON)! It's nice to meet you! I know its been said millions of times before and I am just rambling but I am 19 years old. I have nothing going for me. Music is all I have. I know they are appreciated but I am coming from my younger generation. The vast majority of people my age today do not appreciate and take for granted. There is hardly any soul at all in the musical scene anymore, except the rare finds. I agree that today's music sucks. I have a lot of younger friends though who are all really cool and do appreciate music from a time when it was better ---- in fact, that's how I started hanging around most of them. I think it's moreso my generation that's forgotten what good music is. I think it's funny that I seem to have more in common with my younger friends in that regard. I wish I had a neat story like that. All I've got (totally not Blind Melon-related) is when my Mom was in the hospital having me, she was reading Steven King's book The Mist. When the movie came out, it was like my life had come full-circle. That was like 3 years ago, ha!
