If it is granite it can be cleaned with lots of water and a soft brush, but also you may need permission from the cemetary to do this and of course permission from Nel. But it does look stained from years of wear and tear and probably may need to be cleaned with a non-ionic cleaner as far as polishing goes I looked online and some professional headstone cleaning sites recommend simple Turtle Wax or Mothers Wax that u can get at Auto Zone, Walmart, etc.
I would love to volunteer if volunteers are needed or to pitch in for the cost.

Hi guys , just wondering if there is an update on Shannon 's stone being cleaned .  Poor Nel it's so incredibly sad that she has lost her boys without her having to worry about this also . I donated money to the vigil but would be happy to chip in again if more is needed . X. |

Shannons stone looked shinier this year compared to last year so Im not sure if it got pro done or someone just polished it ...or maybe compared to Tims aging a year that its still the same and Tims just got duller. On another note the groundskeepers at the cememtary when cutting the grass drive right on top of the stones..You could see the tire tracks on Tims in 2 places.......

That sux when they do stuff like that . When my grandmother died a couple of years ago they drove right over her picture and just shaved the cover off it , it was brand new !  |

I cannot believe they drive over the headstones when they cut the grass!! That is terrible! Anyhow-I don't know if Nell got Shannon's headstone cleaned or polished because I didn't go to the vigil but do plan on making a trip up there soon-in the next couple weeks. I would still love to chip in for a cleaning/polishing or whatever else needed.

Tim was Shannon's brother. He recently passed after a battle with cancer.
