I went to see The Lovely Bones. absolutely the best movie ive seen in years. The subject was very emotional and played perfectly, the acting was amazing, the visuals were absolutely beautiful and carried the emotion of the movie as much as the actors did. It is definitely a deeeeeeep movie which contemplates the afterlife, choices and consequences we have on earth, and also the cause and effect factor of our actions. This movie definitely took me on an emotional roller coaster. Its the type of movie you dont stop thinking about when you leave the theater. Its the type of movie that if you watched it a hundred times you could still notice something different. I just loved the girl who played the main character. it is unreal how she managed to channel the different stages and feelings that i imagine would come with such a situation. I think the movie is absolutely flawless and it doesnt leave any questions unanswered. everything is explained and makes sense in the end. Well thats my little synopsis of a review. Im not much of a reader, so i did not read the book and dont really have that reference point to draw from. But I really think its worth taking time to see. Just take plenty of Kleenex.....I cried on and off throughout the whole movie, and i usually dont do that out in public!!!!! If you get a chance, go see it. I dont think you will be dissapointed!! Has anyone else seen it yet?

I haven't seen it yet, yet being the operative word here. I read the book and loved it. You are right about the emotion, so I am excited to hear someone say it carried over into the movie. Movies usually are no where near as good as the books, IMO.

well, i didnt read the book, so it really might suck compared to the book. some critics bashed it, but i loved it. the visuals were fantastic.

I absolutely loved the book, the first chapter was almost too much for me but I continued reading and it's now one of my favorite books. I waited months for the movie to come out and I was excited because Peter Jackson is an excellent director.... however, just like alot of critics, I think his over-use of graphics (while excellent) took away alot of the human emotion that was needed to tell the story. It was so rushed and I felt very disappointed when I left.... that usually happens to any book reader, though.
