The Love Bone Earth Affair Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3 - It was uploaded last month. I had tried looking for it many times before, and it's great that someone has finally uploaded it. I had never seen it before.

Thanks for that, Lee. I enjoyed watching that, you could get more of a sense of what a character Andy was from some of the jokes he made.

I have the tape and you do get a handle on him and it makes his loss even more senseless. Shit, he was here and gone in the blink of an eye. I read somewhere that he was the only stand-up comedian frontman. He made no bones about the fact that he wanted fame but always with tongue in cheek.

I read that there is a theory that he didn't actually die from the OD, that he had a reaction to the medications given to him to help bring him out of the coma he was in. They guy (can't remember his name, but he is the creator of the Malfunkshun movie that was made) that Andy was allergic to just about everything and that the drugs the hospital gave him actually killed him. Do you know if that has any truth to it, Ishbell? You seem to be the knowledgeble one on Mr. Wood.

I don't want to sound like a know it all but no that's not true it was a bad batch of heroin and a few people almost died but were not alone so got help. Andy did it alone at home, his fiance Xana found him but he was already in a deep coma. He was starting to respond and there was brain activity so he may have come out of the coma but he had an aneurysm in his head that let go causing a massive bleed. They took him off the respirator once everyone was there. Xana listened to his heart until it stopped and cut some of his hair. I think MLB had a great future ahead of them with Andy, Stone Gossard, Jeff Ament and Bruce Fairweather and I can't remember the drummers name. Anyways that was another huge loss .

Lee,thank you for that.I've never seen anything like it.Great conversation/interview.What a great loss for those who knew him. What a great loss for the world of music. My younger brother turned me onto MotherLoveBone in 93,from off the,Singles,Soundtrack. After that I bought the tape too ishy.I must've been 26. Man,in those days, all the tripping, drinking & drugging seemed like so much fun.We bounced back from everything so easily. Then it lead to yrs.of trying to get off heroin & other narcotics. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.Just thought I'd tell y'all that for some reason.

In Nutshell Layne sings these lyrics"if I can't be my own, I'd feel better dead" and those words pretty well sum it up.

I used to listen to Mother Love Bone. I lost the record though. I had it when I was in high school. Andy Wood was a cool guy. I have talked to Buzz Ozborne (the Melvins) and he said good things about Andy. I liked Green River better though.
