I've been a part of the melon board for a long time, but I never post b/c honestly, I find it incredibly overwhelming with all the diff threads and whatnot...it's just way too much to follow. But, I'm tired of feeling separated from the melon community except for the one time of year during the vigil, so I figure the vigil thread is a good place to start  I think I'm in the vigil section anyway...  It was great seeing everyone this year! I almost wasn't able to come, but thankfully, I made it last minute. What a special time of year! I never leave there feeling anything less than totally spiritually recharged   This is Jamie Shields btw. I just reazlied you guys would have no idea who was posting this until I put it in. |

hey! Im glad youre on here. I hope you post some of your music. I loved getting to hear you at the vigil. your voice and music is amazing ( i really like the tone of your voice). I loved listening while you sat by nel. there was alot of real honest emotion in your songs. one of the highlights of the vigil for me. melon love to you!! |

Hi Jamie.Jeff here.Isn't Hoonstruck the original Melon Patch?I was there often before The Forum started.I've always thought you have a very beautiful voice also.Way to go on the tribute album a coupla years back.

Jeff : Hoonstruck wasn't the original, I actually created it b/c the original one had it's format changed (so it was more like this one) and people didn't like it at first, and then people were getting kicked off the site for complaining about the new format, it was ridiculous, so my brother and I made Hoonstruck's message board, but that kinda died out. I haven't even looked at that site in YEARS. dunno if it's still even up! I doubt it is though, I think we had to pay for it but it wasn't being used anymore.

Yes,I do remember hearing something about that now.Well,I want to Thank You, & Your Brother, for Hoonstruck.I might not have ever known about The Blind Melon Forum starting up & being here has meant the world over the last few yrs.
