On a serious note, I was really sad to hear about Jon Larsons...emailed with him a few times and he seemed like a cool chap....RIP brother.... Rogers, I did not know that. This is terrible terrible news. This is very sad for me. Do you know any information about how he passed? This is a huge shock and surprise to me. He had a wife and 3 young children. I don't even know what to say about this. He hadn't been around much lately but I didn't know why. For anyone who doesn't know, Jon Larson was an important and respected member in this forum who posted under the name linwoodlarsons. He was one of the coolest Melonheads I've ever had the privilege of getting to know. I'm really saddened to learn that he is gone. He will be definitely be missed by the Blind Melon Forum. I hope his wife and kids are handling this alright.

The show went well.. Good sound... I guess Travis sounded great.. The recording can't be shared yet, unforunately. Rogers showed up to play 5 shows: The Pusher For My Friends Hypnotize Sleepyhouse To Spain I Stay As for the other shows. I'll be getting those anytime soon. Keep you all posted. yeah...this is correct information. The show was fun. Travis got up and played a few songs before I went up and it was the first time I had a chance to see him perform in front of an audience...it was eye-opening and awesome because he has no fear of being up there. You get the sense that he owns the stage and everyone else is just borrowing it. Anyway, his vocals were spot on. People in the audience were crying when we played "sleepyhouse", so either it was really good or totally horrible. I didn't have a chance to ask them. Also, the crowd was singing the 'goddamms" on 'the pusher' at top volume. Apologies for being cagey about sending out a show recording. We really want these songs to be presented in the studio versions before any live stuff gets out there. Once the album is released, we're totally cool with taping and all that stuff. I've been very busy here in LA with the recordings and music biz stuff, so I haven't had time to get back to my blog. I'm heading back to NYC now for a couple of weeks and will catch up. I'm also going to review the tracks on the Blind Melon tribute record this month. Perhaps I will do so in the voice of Simon Cowell. On a serious note, I was really sad to hear about Jon Larsons...emailed with him a few times and he seemed like a cool chap....RIP brother.... rogers Oh man I wished I lived on the right coast....I can't wait to see you all play live, and I bet sleepyhouse was just breathtaking, its one of my most very favoritest Blind Melon tunes EVER! As for Jon Larsons I had no idea until I checked in today, I am just floored and sad, he was a great guy and he LOVED Blind Melon! I think I could easily say that he was the biggest Blind Melon fan.

Matt, can you rip the stuff in .wav and upload it that way rather than in .mp3? The files will be larger but better quality.
