The show went well.. Good sound... I guess Travis sounded great.. The recording can't be shared yet, unforunately.
Rogers showed up to play 5 shows:
The Pusher For My Friends Hypnotize Sleepyhouse To Spain I Stay
As for the other shows. I'll be getting those anytime soon. Keep you all posted.
yeah...this is correct information. The show was fun. Travis got up and played a few songs before I went up and it was the first time I had a chance to see him perform in front of an audience...it was eye-opening and awesome because he has no fear of being up there. You get the sense that he owns the stage and everyone else is just borrowing it. Anyway, his vocals were spot on. People in the audience were crying when we played "sleepyhouse", so either it was really good or totally horrible. I didn't have a chance to ask them. Also, the crowd was singing the 'goddamms" on 'the pusher' at top volume.
Apologies for being cagey about sending out a show recording. We really want these songs to be presented in the studio versions before any live stuff gets out there. Once the album is released, we're totally cool with taping and all that stuff.
I've been very busy here in LA with the recordings and music biz stuff, so I haven't had time to get back to my blog. I'm heading back to NYC now for a couple of weeks and will catch up. I'm also going to review the tracks on the Blind Melon tribute record this month. Perhaps I will do so in the voice of Simon Cowell.
On a serious note, I was really sad to hear about Jon Larsons...emailed with him a few times and he seemed like a cool chap....RIP brother....
patzeller: ive seen the band in MN in 2015, Denver (home) in 2016 and last night in Chicago. Despite Brad missing, the bands chemisty was the best I’ve ever seen. Awesome awesome show. Guess I’ll be heading to Edmonton in June!

jaakko: Hi there! I´m new here! Straight to the question... Is there any possibilities that Blin Melon would tour somewhere in europe someday? I need to see and hear my all time favourite band live before I die. Do I need to fly to U.S.A?

crobar: Anyone know who played the harmonica lead in the song "change" at woodstock '94?

crobar: If you watch the video on youtube for "Change" at woodstock '94, a dude is welcomed out on stage to play the lead harp. Shannon thanks him but you can't hear the name. The guy killed it and I'd like to know who he is/was. Any help is appreciated.

lisa: Blind melon take me back to a really happy time of leaving school and having the world at my feet. I am about to watch the doc. I am looking forward to seeing what the band thought of history being made and the creation of timeless music. RIP Shannon
