I am a resident of Alaska, who has been waiting for this tour since his birth. I have been taking ever chance I can to get down to the lower 48 to see Blind Melon, and everytime I get a chance WHAM I'm slapped in the face with a cancellation. First at the Pointfest in St. Louis were I took time to run away from my sisters graduation to see horrible emo or core bands. Second to escape from my college in Michigan to see them in Traverse City.
I actually don't mind at all, becuase I know the day I see them I will be so exstatic my heart will fail. I also completely understand that if you are sick then why give a half assed preformance. But to a direhard Melonhead whos owns all the cd's dvd's, most t-shirts, and the old tab book you can't find anymore-which is actually wrong on most tabs, it's starting to hurt.
I can't wait for you guys to release 2009 tour dates, and please make it up somewhere in Michigan...because I WILL BE THERE, singing along with every song, and pushing my way to the front like all your other fanatic fans. All i want in return it to shank your hands for giving me the best concert of my life...or smoke a cig with me outside with be amazing.
Thanks you guys, hope to see you soon.

It sucks that you've had to miss a couple shows due to cancellations. Keep your chin up, I'm sure it won't be long before they come back to Michigan. They've already played in Michigan three times this year - once in Grand Rapids (July), once in Flint (May), and once in Detroit (March). I'm sure they'll make it a point to reschedule the Nov. Traverse City, Flint, and Detroit shows that were canceled. They don't want to disappoint their fans. Have no fear, judging from the fact that 6 shows were scheduled in MI in 2008, they seem to enjoy playing there. Good luck!
