In the Book that was just released by Greg Prato, Lisa said that she believes that the dress that Shannon wore at Woodstock was at Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. (Unless I read that wrong.), has anyone ever been there? Is there anything Shannon (or Melon) related there?

Wow, if that's true, that'd be intense cash flow.

it was there many years ago (10 ?) they had a wax figure collection back then. there were figures of Marilyn Manson, Trent Reznor in the outfit from woodstock (with the mud all over), Flavor Flav, Rev run, and lots more... and the Shannon wax figure was done up JUST like woodstock with the shoes, berrets, hair, and the dress on. It was awesome and what was probably only a couple of minutes of time that was just me staring at it... felt like hours.
I've been back 5 times, and havent seen it since that one time. last time i was there was about 3 years ago.
I love that place.
Unfortunately they wouldnt allow picture taking back then... and cell phones didnt have cameras on them. (or is it cameras didnt have cell phones on them?) lol.
tehre was a guard posted right near there so i couldnt sneak a pic. Janis Joplin's psychodelic painted porsche was there in the same spot.

I heard him say in a post-show Woodstock interview w/Rogers that he dressed that way cuz he saw Melissa Ethridge backstage earlier and figured 1 of them should dress like a woman...

Damn.I live in Ohio and it wouldnt be much of a drive to get there. It'd still be a place to visit but seein the the dress there, or the wax Shannon would've been awesome. And, yes it was in fact Lisa's dress. If I'm not mistaken she had just gotten it that week, and really didn't want Shannon to wear it, but he was able to convince her. Sorry for the "spoiler" if you havent read the book.

I remember my sister and her fiancee renting the concert and taping BM for me. We were on the phone and she was appalled that I was mesmerized by a band whose singer was in barrettes, sneakers, and a see-thru gauze dress! Never got the tape of the show and have never seen their whole set. Was it see-thru at some point? Ladies? (sorry guys, had to ask ) #hoonsmiley#

Never saw the whole thing..But it would surpise me if he lifted it up at some point. Or did something revealing. He wasn't known for being shy about his body.

(sorry guys, had to ask ) #hoonsmiley# I just watched it today on Letters From a Porcupiine and I did notice (ahem) that as he got hot and sweaty it was a bit see thru - I could see his back tatoos but also underware - it looked like it had a design on it - you'd think he'd wear white or beige but oh well - he did not know the girl rules for wearing white dresses I guess! Weird to see the patterned underware! Of course only I would notice this...
