Yahoo!!! I have a bunch of Canadian East Coasters Representing tonite. My buddies who I forced some Melon education back in High School will be there. Not as many as i had hoped, because some are working on oil rigs. I hope there is a good turn out. Josh said he was buying tickets directly from the venue and they were almost 50 bones a piece!!! I hope he was just pulling my leg, and if he wasn't i REALLY hope that doesn't affect the turnout! Being a Casino, i'm not really sure what the set up will be. I'll be calling them on their cell later to catch some of it Val (josh's Fiance) will be taking photos in my stead. Once she sends them to me, i'll post 'em. Hey guys! (band members) if you see this in time.... could do me a Solid, for Josh. He and Val love u guys VERY much. He is VERY lucky to be seeing this show tonite. He was struck while crossing a cross walk by a drunk driver back in april. Right in front of Val. It was a scare for all of us. But he's done WELL, and just got cleared to work again (6 months later). anyhoons... if u could give him a shout out, he'd pee himself for sure! if not, that's coo (they love Soak, n Cavities) He's a guy that should be on everyones "to road trip with" list he and I (he's onthe right) I wish i could be there. it's been a dream to see blind melon with the guys i'd jig class with to run 'round town in the van listening to Soup #rock# ah... one day....I can't wait to hear their reviews either , so i can pass 'em along ! I hope u guys are enjoying Canada. and that they are treating u well. There is always comfort in the fact that North of the Border u shall never be more then 10 minutes from a Tim Hortons! #whitedancesmilie# Give 'em Heck #smiliechristopher1# #smilierogers#

Josh 'n Vals Review......the set up: It was in a conference type room inside a Casino that was filled with rows of chairs. The floor was not on any sort of slope like you'd find in a Theatre. Josh was told by people at the desk that the show was sold out. He estimates the room held between 400-500. There was not an opening band, & once the "hello/Goodbye" music came on people cheered 'n screamed....stood up, and many tried to cram between the front row and the stage. Like many of us here, neither one had seen Blind Melon before. They've both reiterated many of the feelings/thoughts that we've felt once FINALLY having that dream realized. Josh was enthusiastic about a couple things. He couldn't get over Travis. He couldn't get how someone could sound soo much like Shannon and Himself at the same time. He thought Travis could really play the guitar, and was wishing he was on it a bit more. They said Travis NAILED Change, and Mouthful... Oh, and at the beginning of the show Travis was throwing what they thought were Kazoos into the crowd. The other thing Josh kept bringing up was the sound. I know there was some talk earlier this week about the quality of sound. But overall Josh spoke mostly about the sound. He said for him a live show is made or broken by sound. And that the sound that night was high, but not boomy. That the volume was just right, and u could hear any one at anytime. They were just right of centre stage, and about 4 rows back. I found it funny that there is a Non Smoking In Public Buildings Law pretty much in all of Canada.... yet Josh went to the back of the room to get beer and was passed a "Leafy Product"... and when he returned to his seat, Val had been given her own by a stranger... Here is the List of Songs Remember between the two of them (IN NO ORDER...except the first and last lol) Intro... 2x4 Vernie Paperscratcher Ripped Away/No Rain Galaxie Change For My Friends Drive Soak the Sin Soup Wilt #rock# Toes Across the Floor Hypnotized Tumblin Down WISHING WELL Harmful Belly #rock# (he was VERY sure this was played) Pusher Time Encore: Mouthful of Cavities Josh swears he didn't hear Skinned. & if Travis was throwing Kazoos into the crowd, it'd seem weird if they hadn't.... it'd probably also be a first. He mentioned going to the bathroom during Harmful... so perhaps they played it right after that.. it's a Very Quick 2 minute song... The Meet and Greet was at the back of the conference room after the show. Josh said Travis wasn't to be seen but they signed his hat, and her boobs. Right... to set that story straight... Val was talking with CT and Drunken Josh walks up and TELLS CT to sign her boobs.... CT says "wah?!...really....?" and so, Val goes on down the line getting signed by all. Josh snuck up to Brad and gave him a drunken hug and told him he makes great music and that he (Brad) would produce his music someday . I apologize now for any embarrassing behavior. He can speak brilliantly through his mouth one moment, and out his arse the next They were both very excited, and didn't know what to do... so they tried to out drink eachother... and were paying for it towards the end of the show... Josh said Mouthful of Cavities brought him right back... that Travis' singing and playing mesmerized him. the 50 dollar tickets & $5.25 beer didn't seem to phase them one bit. they were thrilled to be there. perhaps winning 70 dollars at the slots afterwards helped too. Though, no one ever tells u what they put into a machine, do they? Bill Cosby: oh, Val took 12 videos... 4 full, and the rest partials... i'll post them once they get emailed to me ;D She was also given a review from the local newspaper from someone at her work. she's going to scan it and mail it to me as well.

It's great that they had a good time! Great pictures as well!! And I'm happy that the interviewer of that radio show had at least a little knowledge of the band. Thanks for giving us the review via your friends Kevin!
