Did anyone catch the first episode on HBO? I really liked what I saw and think this is going to be a great show!

Two more episodes under my belt and I really love this show! Do you think Bill is good or bad? Also whats the relationship between the bar owner Sam and the dog? Did anyone else notice the painting on the wall in his office on episode two?

Greg and I have watched the first two and we'll probably watch the third tonight on our dvr. Episode two really got me hooked so I'm excited to watch the third one.
I also noticed the painting in Sam's office. I think it's supposed to be symbolic. My guess is that Sam is represented by the dog and Suki is the sleeping girl. I think it is supposed to let us know that he is good and will protect and look out for Suki.

I was thinking that Sam IS the dog. I remember when Sukii went out to help Bill, Sam went out too but we never saw him, just the dog out there.

That's a great observation! I was wondering what the hell took Sam so long to get out there since he left the restaurant right behind her. That totally makes sense. ;D

except that in last night's episode they showed sam playing with that dog. (of course, they also showed him barking in his sleep) that was originally my guess as well, but now i don't know what to think. maybe he's her familiar? the dog isn't just a dog though...remember when bill said "he's protecting you" and she said "he's just some old dog that hangs around back of the bar" and he said "i bet..." all sarcastic like. so, there's something more to him for sure, but i dunno what it is. maybe sam's a shapeshifter and he just took the shape of his own dog?

That makes sense because I know that Sam and that dog are linked somehow and one in the same. Is it a werewolf thing or is it a familiar? I'm excited to find out. I really want to read the books that this show is based off of now but I don't want to spoil anything either.

Ok, we watched episode 3 last night. Sam was barking in his sleep! I can't wait to find out what his deal is. Wasn't it hilarious when Jason had to make that video to pay for the vial of blood? That dude is a character. #lmao#

I love Tara and her gay cousin Lafayette! They are both awesome. I love Tara's blunt honesty and out there personality they did an amazing job writing her character....she seems so tough on the outside but you can tell she is in turmoil on the inside. The scene with her mother really hit home with me. I think right now I love her character the most.
Jason is such a dork...I hope they continue to make him look like a jackass, especially without his shirt. #bananahitit#

^^ #lmao# Mere, I was thinking about you during that scene with Tara and her Mom. Her character has the most depth so far. Right now my favorite characters are Bill, Lafayette, Jason, and Tara. Lafayette is hilarious and I just love seeing Jason look like a fool.

I doubt we'll have HBO at the beach house but if we happen to watch it I won't give any spoilers. I probably won't even see it until we get home from the beach.

I love this freakin' show. Lafayette is, by far, my favorite character. I usually always go for a lead, but Sookie's voice gets on my nerves. Bill's ok I guess.
I'm obsessed (understatement) with the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer so I've had vampire on the brain for a good year now so this show was just what I needed. The only thing I don't like is the placement of the vampires teeth. They look like snakes.
Anybody else thinking Jason killed Dawn after he took too much v-juice?

Someone just loaned me the first Twilight book yesterday, I am so anxious to read it.
OOOh I didn't think of Jason killing Dawn but that would make sense!
