I searched for a topic about the fork necklace and could not find one...maybe I am not doing it right although it seems only an idiot wouldn't be able to do it....I could be an idiot you just never know!!!! anyways here it is: Q: There are some urban myths about your infamous fork necklace... where is it now? CC: That necklace was a gift from Shannon Hoon and someone took it from me. I don't know where it is now. I could have even lost it. from chriscornell.org.uk/articles/vickyhasthelastword.htm#2 Q: 'Kim Thayil's Beard' from Maidstone has noticed that you wore a fork around your neck for several years - why? A: "It was given to me by the late Shannon Hoon, who fashioned it out of a fork he got in Denny's (a US fast food chain) on the first tour Blind Melon ever did, which was opening for us. I really liked it, but I stopped wearing it after he died. Because the other thing I wore was this ring that belonged to Andy Wood, who died. It's like, 'I don't wanna wear these f**king things from people who died.'" "A girl outside the hotel tonight had a similar fork, and I've had people throw them on-stage. I've seen hundreds of those forks, but it always reminds me of Shannon. They're making them cos they're thinking of me, but really it's him. Which is cool." from : web.stargate.net/soundgarden/articles/kerr_3-1-97.shtml

I think it's so cool that people are making them, even if they don't know where exactly it came from. It's sad that he lost the necklace and does not wear it but, this was awesome information. I always wondered where his necklace went.

Thanks for the information toes...! So now we know the story behind it! I've always been interested in hearing more about the fork necklaces. I was hoping Chris would have it stored away safely, I hope it's not lost. I can appreciate why he decided to stop wearing it though, as well as Andrew Wood's ring. Not only cool but handy when you are eating on the go! Indeed! Haha!
