I won a PlayStation 3 playing Texas Hold 'Em online last night (www.prizewagon.com). Do Playstation 2 games play in the PlayStation 3? If so, is there any quality loss? And, will the memory card from my PlayStation 2 work in the 3?

Thanks man! I may end up selling it if it's not compatible with the games I have. Family got me a bunch for x-Mas... I still haven't opened 3-4 of them.
Looks like I'll need a 60+gb console. The 40gb isn't compatible.
We'll see!
Thanks again on the win... You should check that site out.

Matt you should definitely keep it. Ghostbusters 3 comes out this fall and features all the guys doing voice acting. Plus Harold Ramis and Dan Akyroyd wrote the script. This game is one of the main reasons I bought the system. Then again you could sell it and make a few hundred off of it.

I have both. As of Christmas, only the 80gb version is compatible with your old games. I keep my PS3 hooked up to the plasma in the living room and the ps2 in the bedroom for lazy Sunday mornings! And for sure on the data transfer card.
