Hey, I know what you mean. The St.Paul show is 21+ too - so I'm traveling the extra 5 hours to Milwaukee. I mailed Rogers a few weeks ago and he said that they try to do all ages shows wherever possible, but I guess sometimes it doesn't turn out that way.

Im sorry you guys, I feel your pain because I had to deal with that bullshit all the time up until recently.
Im just very glad I turned 21 before the reunion, it would break my heart to miss a show because of my age. It just aint right.

That sucks guys. That's the only good thing about being my age...you don't have to worry about shit like that. I hope you can all make it to a show soon.

I just don't get it...in america, you can have a gun when you're what, 18 y.o.? but there are venues where you can't get in to listen to a CONCERT until when you're 21 y.o. This is REALLY fucked up.

yeah Barb is completely stupid.. i mena they should let them get into and just not sell alcohol.. i mena its a concert... thats what they do here (thought its for 18 and older not 21...) when there are concerts in bars they let the kids go to the concert and then leave and no alcohol.... if i was there it'd suck to miss a melon show just becuase im not old enouggh... though im sure i'd get a fake or someonel's ID but anyway, it sucks sorry

Yeah, and you can fight (and die) for your country in the military at age 18 - but you can't get into into some concerts just because alcohol is served there. RIDICULOUS!

Yeah, like Elva said, I don't see why they can't let young people in and then sipmly not serve them alcohol. Didn't Gabby say that you can go to some bars and they give you a stamp on your hand or something that shows you're younger than 18?
I hope all young melons get a chance to see the band live! It's just not fair that the age is a limit.

Usually in Texas clubs and venues will let 18+ in and they draw a big X on your hands indicating you're not 21. In Pittsburg Club Diesel only allowed people to drink upstairs (which was a pain in the ass) and in Lancaster it was the other way around, all minors had to stay on the balcony (which must have been a pain on the ass for them too). Even with all the crazy rules minors still drink as much as anyone, I know it didnt stop me. They really need to make the drinking age 18 again

The club they played in starkville put big stamps on each hand of minors and a bright neon yellow wrist bands on those of age. There were even kids there that were sixteen. It seemed to work out fine. If the kids can't get alcohol in a club they'll just get it out of mommy and daddies stash.
I'm glad I don't have to worry about this but I hate it when kids who just want to see the bands they love can't because of booze.
