.... my daughter and I got home from Christmas shopping; listening to Blind Melon in the car. After finally getting our tired butts home, she says to me " Dad, this is my best Christmas ever. I said ,you haven't had it yet: But Dad, Blind Melon is back together and that is the best gift that I can have. ... My daughter is 14 on Christmas day, I think she is the best gift that I can have.

Thank you... yes I'm very proud of her. She plays drums for our "house band" - I play guitar and my son plays bass when he comes around. Emily, my daughter, calls herself "the Meladdict" She is doing her own public relations work for BM at school and has all the kids buying BM cd's. Emily wants to go to the first show of their tour and "stand" in the front row; this girl is totally in love with Brad Smith. Merry Christmas everybody!!

impressive, a girl who plays drums! You don't see that very often. My 7 year old is getting his first electric guitar this Christmas. I really hope he gets into it.
