having a thread for each individual show with all info gathered (pics, links, reviews etc) would be MUCH better! it works really well at the alice in chains forum.
MODERATORS??? it's already a complete mess here now...

I was thinkning that we can just have a post on the top page of this thread with all the the links to videos listed right there. Agreed that scrolling through to find them all is not the answer. I'll send Sonya a PM

MODERATORS??? it's already a complete mess here now... I'm all for different sections for each show... Probably not stickie thread... Better to nip it in the bud now... I'll leave it up to Sonya... |

I modified the initial post in this thread to include all of the videos posted by Keith. That's a quick fix to make finding the videos easier. Staff can continue to modify the first post and add more videos as they come in. We can't create a stickied thread for each and every individual show in the main Tour section because it will take up the entire first page. There are other threads that need visibility on the first page that involve people needing to sell or buy tickets, and general questions, etc. Anyone can create a thread in the Tour section for an individual show. It just wouldn't be stickied so when people stop posting in it, it would disappear to page 2 and so on... I'm sure we'll have some shows that a lot of members go to, and there will probably be shows that none of our members will make it to. We may not have enough participation for a thread on every single show. The only other option would be to create a sub-board specifically where each show would have an individual thread, like the Blind Melon Related bands section (only it would be a sub-board of the tour section, not a separate section on the main page). It's a possibility. Our experience with using sub-boards in the past is that they often are overlooked for whatever reason. |

on a sidenote: another good thing would be NOT to post multiple thank you's. it's pointless, takes up a lot of space, wastes everybodys time (not just the uploader). uploaders know that whatever they're doing is appreciated. if you still want to say thanks, please send a PM instead or even better - follow their example and post something good.
