Current Band Members[/u] Reggie Watts - Vocals, Lead Synth. Kevin Goldman - Bass. Davis Martin - Drums. Thaddeus Turner - Guitars. Daniel Spils - Keyboards. ---------- How Maktub is related to Blind Melon:[/u] On April 13th, 1998 Brad Smith recorded, engineered, and mixed 3 songs for the band's Subtle Ways" release. Brief History:[/u] Brad Smith caught a Maktub show in Seattle and invited the band to record in his studio. The studio, Stank Face Labs, was in Seattle Washington. Brad later mixed the songs at Lucky Dog studios. Brad didn't get a chance to produce all of the record because Unified Theory was in the works. "I really like those guys. I wish I could have worked with them more" Brad stated. Reggie performed on Brad's solo release - Abandon Jalopy "Mercy". ---------- For more information about the band, please visit their website: Maktub's WebsiteThe sound bite was taken from the song "For Perfection". right click... save asFor Perfection Clip ----------

I dig Maktub. I had picked up their first album because a woman named Heather Duby told me that she used to play in a band with Reggie. Imagine my surprise when scanning the credits and seeing Brad's name. Coincidence, indeed. All their stuff is super-sweet alterna-funk & soul.

Reggie is playing with Soulive these days? I think. I remember seeing him perform within the past year or so. Maybe Galactic, but I think it was with Soulive

I saw a few pics of Reggie performing with Soulive... Not sure if it's a full time gig though. He's not listed as a full time member anywhere.
Maktub has an album coming out in October.
